"Let's go."

She said one day.

Pulling me out her door.

"Go where?"

I asked.

Following her like a lost dog.

"The Ocean in The Forest."

She grinned at me.

Guiding me through a mass of trees.

I had no idea what she was talking about.

But I figured it would be easier.

To wait and see.

We trekked over hills.

Weaved through vines.

And climbed rocks.

Until we reached a cliff.

"An ocean is defined

As a large body of water.

And this body of water is in a forest!

So Boom!

An Ocean in a Forest.

Is what you get."

She explained to me.

As we stood at the top.

And I eyed the very long fall to the water below.

"How did you find this place?"

"A friend showed it to me."

She replied.

Her smile was mischievous.

As usual.

I didn't want her to.

Jump off again.

Like the first time.

She couldn't swim.

"Why did you bring me here?"

Maybe there wasn't even.

An ulterior motive.

"Because you're my best friend."

I was?

This was news to me.

"You're my best friend too."

And maybe.

It hurt a little to say that.

"Good. Now

Would my best friend care

To jump in with me?"
