Samara Malatesta - Fear Nymph (Formerly a child of Phobos)

Eva Malatesta and Phobos most likely met the way many mortals meet the gods, but by the time, that poor little Samara was old enough to maybe hear the tale, Eva had been institionalised. You see, even at a young age, Samara emanated fear to an extent, and whenever her mother was near her, she always saw her worst fears vividly in her mind. By the time Samara was 5 it had driven her mother completely crazy and Samara was sent into foster care.

While in foster care, Samara was bumped from home to home, never managing to stay with one family for more than 6 months before they sent her packing; each time it was always the same. The foster parents would always give some lame excuse, when the real reason was; they were all seeing their fears when they were around her. This went on for quite a few years, until her 14th birthday when a hellhound found her. A satyr got to her in time and gave Samara a sword; between the two of them, they were able to defeat the hellhound. Samara decided that she would be better off at camp, and went with the satyr.

She had a rather interesting time at camp, being around others like herself, she found she was actually treated quite normally, for the most part. She finally felt a place she could fit in and started making friends. Before she could confess to Sorin that she was in love with him, tragedy struck, she was kidnapped by Pontus along with other demigods from both the Broken Covenant and camp. After weeks of being held hostage, a group came to rescue them. In the chaos that ensued, Samara was killed. Hades, taking pity on the poor girl, granted Phobos’ request that she be turned into a fear nymph, where she returned to camp and finally was able to tell Sorin she loved him.
