Chpt 22 - The Plan is Working...

"Aza?" Mitch asks, knocking on the door.

"Go away!" Azalea shouts.

"No... I'm not going away. I just want to talk." Mitch replies.

"I'm a despicable human being! I know what you must think of me!" Azalea responds.

"No, no." Mitch protests, "Adam explained everything. He completely blamed himself for what happened, he told me that he kissed you."

Azalea slowly looks up from her duvet, "He... he did?"

"Yeah. I know you didn't mean to look look like you were cheating on me. Adam said he got a bit... carried away." Mitch explains.

Azalea doesn't reply. She was too overwhelmed by what Adam had done, he'd completely blamed himself, sacrificing his relationship for hers.

"So... can I come in? Ya decent?" He asks.

"Yeah." Azalea answers shakily.

The door creaks open and Mitch pops his head inside to see Azalea sitting on the bed, the sheets all messy and crunched up.

"Now I know how Adam can be when he's under a lot of pressure." Mitch says quietly, walking in slowly, "And well... he is under a lot of pressure at the moment."

Azalea slowly nods.

Mitch sits down on the bed, "But I'm not going to let what happened earlier keep us apart. I know that you don't want that."

Azalea nods and leans on his shoulder.

"So what do you say?" Mitch asks, "Wanna play some Hunger Deans?"

Azalea smiles, "Yeah."

"Cool." Mitch gets up, "I'll call you on Skype. I'll get the fluffy as well."

The trio happily play Hunger Games for the rest of the day, for them it seemed that this morning had never happened, which is the least you could say for Alesa and Adam. Alesa had made herself a prisoner in her own room for the entire day, and Adam could do nothing about it.

And then it finally became the time of sun set. Everyone prepared themselves as the golden light of the setting sun starts to fill the house. Tonight was the night. Tonight the Team attack.

“Okay, are we ready to do this, Team?” Adam asks as he approaches the Nether portal.

“As ready as we’ll ever be.” Quentin replies.

“Alright, so on the other side of this portal is the Sky Army, you guys will free them while I go to the castle with Ty and Jerome.” Adam confirms.

“Okay, yadda-yadda let’s just go already!” Ty responds.

“Alright. Let’s go.” Adam says, stepping into the portal.

The Team arrive in another under water base similar to the one Scarlet showed them when she helped rescue Adam. They swim upwards to see hundreds of cages not too far in front of them and they all set to work. Quentin, Ian, Scarlet, Seto and Alesa help to free the remaining Sky Army Recruits who hadn’t been converted, whilst Adam, Ty and Jerome travel towards the castle.

 Adam, Ty and Jerome arrive at the town surrounding the castle; they make their way through totally unseen. Now they were hiding at the watch tower, looking for the opportune moment to enter the castle through the back.
