Keep your eyes open---
Oh, why did I never treasure
The times while you were well?
Why did I choose to keep you
In my false anger's roaring spell?
I made you believe that I didn't care
That I was but a raging monster
One who would never grant you
The true love of a brother.
I pushed you away
With a glare full of hatred
And I was he who gave rise to
The demons in your head---
Now you lie before me
Bloody from head to toe,
I hold you tight to my chest
Not yet willing to let you go.
The light in your violet eyes
I see, will soon go out,
Please, no, there is so, so much
You've yet to know about;
I love you, please, hold on,
Don't leave me yet, dear brother,
Allow my love to reach you,
At least a second longer.
