Previously In: If There Are Limits, She's Pushed Them:

"Why are you...are you looking for another job?!"...

You shrug.

"Please don't quit."

"WOULD LOSING ME EVEN BE A LOSS FOR THE TEAM?"

~~~~~
"Yes, yes it would be, Darling!"
"No it wouldn't! She would just bring in Britt from the troupe, or Jenna and it would be fine!"
"No it wouldn't be!"
"What is making you think like this?! Seriously, this needs to stop!"
"I am." You mumble.
"Babe--"
"Please don't call me that." You whisper.
"Oh, sorry." He cleared his throat. "Darling, why are you telling yourself that stuff?"
"It's just, it's just habit."
"That shouldn't be habit for you!"
"Well, it is!" You stand up and leave the room.
"Hey!" Val runs up to catch you as you venture farther and farther away from the rehearsal room.
"No!"
"Love!" He grabs your arm to stop you.
"What?!" You whip around.
"Listen to me: you cannot quit. You are too important to this team, and you are too much of a beast in this art to stop now. I understand you are discouraged, I understand that you're nervous and scared, but you can't give up."
"But you also can't control me." You say as you get into your car and drive towards your apartment.
~~~~~

Your on the phone with your casting agent all night that night.

You spent so long on the phone that you were almost sick of hearing his voice.

You both call the talking for that night quits around 2 in the morning. You thank him for all of his continued patience with you, and he gladly welcomes you.

You hang up the phone with a few tears running down your face.

You're suddenly startled by a doorbell at 2 in the morning.

Your doorbell.

You grab the frying pan from the shelf in case and look out the peephole cut into the door.

Why the heck is Val Chmerkovskiy at your door at 2:00?

"Hi, Val, what's going on?"

Even in your sweatpants and no makeup, he still thinks you look gorgeous.

"Hi, may I come in?"

"Sure, yeah." You gesture inside the apartment with the frying pan you took as a weapon.

"Um, why the frying pan?" He chuckles.

"I thought it could've been a serial killer at my door so here I am."

He laughs again before sitting.

"So, you drove to my apartment in the rain at 2 a.m?"

"Yes, Love, I did."

"You better have a real good explanation for scaring me like that."

"I do."

You nod at the Ukrainian to start talking.

"I was worried about you because Emma said you had a panic attack while on the phone with her earlier, and I was insanely worried."

"But you chose to come at 2 in the morning?"

"Yes, but Love, I'm sincerely worried about you! I tried to call and see if you got home safely, but it went straight to voicemail, and what I'm trying to say is that I came here to make sure you didn't just skip town or jump ship or I don't know, sell yourself on Ebay or some idiotic thing like that."

"You thought I was going to come home and sell myself on Ebay?"

"Kind of..."

"V, I'm fine, I promise."

"Are you sure?"

"Sure."

Val began to leave.

"Oh, and Val.."

"Yeah?"

"See you at rehearsal tomorrow."

"Gladly."
