I didn’t really know what to expect but getting kidnapped by Sven wasn’t even on my list.

“Hurry up woman,” he hissed, pulling at my arms insistently. My mind had not fully resurfaced from dreamland and I was struggling to process what in the world was going on and I voiced said question to Sven. He rolled his pretty eyes and told me to just shut up and do as he says.

I glared sleepily at him. Tyler was still fast asleep next to me and Evan was nowhere to be found.

“God you’re a pain in the ass princess,” Sven muttered.

“Leave me alone Sven, I wanna go back to sle—“ he clapped a hand over my mouth and shushed me urgently, eyes darting towards Ty’s sleeping form. “Shut the fuck up.” He decided that he was through with being gentle and hauled me over his shoulder in one swift motion. I was too surprised to even make a sound.

He carried me down the stairs. I stopped struggling when Naomi passed us with just a simple sweet “Have fun.”

What the hell was happening? Don’t these people know that I have a date today and that what they are doing may or may not ruin it?

Hold on.

What if Sven is trying to ruin it?

That simple suspicion drove me to twist my body free from his grip, launching myself to the ground, turning said launch into a quick front flip by grabbing the railings of the stairs to propel me forward. Sven made a surprised noise, almost tripping on the stairs. I spun and landed a kick on his stomach, making him cough backwards before I dove at him with a lamp in hand.

He looked so surprised that it took me a while to register the fact that I may look absolutely insane right now. I mean, who suddenly goes ape-shit on their friend? The lamp may have also added even more unnecessary craziness.

But I wasn’t taking the furniture away until he started talking.

“Good God,” he breathed.

“Where were you planning on taking me and why?” I asked, eyes narrowed.

He held his hands beside his head with difficulty since he was lying flat on his back with me on top of him. “Are you always this fucking insane in the morning or is this just because it’s me?” he tried to joke but there was an evidently thick lace of irritation in his tone.

“Sven.”

“Alice,” he said rolling his eyes, his initial surprise and fear gone, replaced by an exasperated expression, “as much as I love the feel of your lovely ass on my smokin’ hot bod’, I’m going to have ask you to move it, before I change my mind about this goddamn favor I’m trying to do for you.”

“Kidnapping me in the morning on the day of my very first fucking date with Tyler isn’t exactly the best way to do someone a favor.”

“If I did this tomorrow then it wouldn’t matter as much. It had to be today. And it has to be now. So just trust me on this. But if you lay a finger on my face with that sweet little lamp of yours, I’ll mess up yours until Tyler wouldn’t even be able to stomach looking at you.”

Sven’s words were sharper than the blade I was holding.

“Alice!” I was suddenly pried off of Sven by a worried-looking Naomi. “You should know better than to point a lamp at your friends, or at anyone for that matter!” she scolded, taking the thing out of my loose grip. For some stupid reason, I felt the need to defend my actions. “He was kidnapping me.”
