Hiding

*Before

" Ahh!" Bruce and I yelled as the plane came crashing down.

*Now

(Hayley's POV)

" Ahh!" Bruce and I continued yelling.

Arissa threw two backpacks at us. Then I realized that they were parachutes.

"Go! Now!" She yelled.

"What about you?" I asked.

"There's only two! You two go!" she yelled.

"But you'll crash and die!" I yelled over the noise, tears falling down my cheeks.

"I'd rather you two survive! Now go!" She pushed us off.

Bruce grabbed her and pulled her with us. "Not without you."

So here I am screaming my head off on the outside and going 'Aw!' inside.

I was falling so fast and I felt that I was going to hit the ground any second.

Bruce and Arissa pulled thier string to make the parachute fly. I tried to pull mine, but it didn't work.

"It's stuck!" I yelled.

Bruce grabbed me before I hit the ground.

"Thanks." I said, still trying to catch my breath.

"You're welcome." he replied.

"I know where we are. I have a friend no too far from here. Follow me." Arissa said and walked into woods. We followed her.

"So what's this friend like?" I asked.

"Uh... she's... not social... or normal." Arissa replied.

Bruce and I looked at each other, but didn't say anything.

We arrived at some open space in the middle of the forest.

"Lavada!" Arissa yelled.

"Who are your friends." I heard a voice say. "You know I hate people."

"Please Lava. They need help." Arissa pleaded.

A girl stepped out of the shadows. She had long black hair and brown eyes. Her skin was fairly pale so it was easy to see her abnormally red veins. She noticed my staring and growled,

My eyes widened and I stepped back.

"Don't worry. She won't hurt you." Arissa said.

"Who says I won't?" the girl replied.

"You know very well why." Arissa said.

The girl grunted.

Bruce held out his hand. "I'm Bruce and this is my sister Hayley."

"Lavada. The civillians call me Ember." She looked at Bruce's hand. "I don't shake hands."

Bruce put his hand down.

"I've heard of Ember somewhere in my travels..." I thought out loud.

"Because I have a bad reputation." Lavada said.

"We need your help." Arissa said.

"With what?" Lavada asked.

"Hiding." Arissa said.

Lavada smiled. "Then you came to the right place. What do ya want to hide from? Bad guys, old friends-"

"S.H.I.E.L.D." Arissa interupted.

"Easy. Follow me." Lavada said, walking into the woods.

We followed her to a cottage hidden in the woods.

"It has everything you could ever need." Lavada said as she opened the door.

I don't know why I expected Tony to be there... maybe because Lavada said the cottage had everything I need...
