Love, Pain, and The Whole Crazy Thing

(Lavada's POV)

I growled as I punched the cage. It won't budge.

Great.

"Stop it." Fury said, entering with Clint and two other people.

"What do you want!" I hissed.

"Um... I'm Kylie Lance. Hayley's best friend." a girl with blonde hair said. "I want to know where Hayley, Arissa, Bruce, and Tony are."

"I don't know, but you are not going to find them." I gave her my best evil grin. She stepped back and a guy with blonde hair gave her a reassuring look.

"Hey Steve!" I yelled, getting the soldiers attention. "You got a girlfriend!"

I smiled as he blushed.

"Love sucks! I can tell you that!" I yeled at him, but I was looking at Clint.

The archer squirmed under my gaze.

"We're not going to get anything out of her." Fury said. "Barton watch over her."

Fury, Kylie, and Steve walked away, leaving Clint alone with me.

"If I wasn't in this cage, I'd kill you." I growled.

He opened up the door to the cage and walked up to me. "Go ahead."

I stared at him with shock.

He dropped his bow and arrows. "Do your worse."

My hand lit on fire.

I can't do this...

I put my flame out went up to him and slapped him.

Then I kissed him.

I pulled away with a smirk on my face. He was practically frozen in shock.

"That's what you get for playing with fire." I said as I walked away.

(Hayley's POV)

We got back to the boys and, thankfully, they did everything Arissa asked.

I walked into the shelter that Tony made. It wasn't too bad.

My legs were exausted so I sat down. I yawned and layed down. It wouldn't hurt to take a little nap...

Suddenly, an arm wrapped around me. I turned around, a little freaked out.

Tony was asleep, his arm draped around my waist.

I smiled and snuggled close to him. Soon, I fell asleep to his gentle snores.

I woke up, still in Tony's arms. I traced the faint light of his arc reactor.

"You're awake." I heard him say.

I looked up at him, smiling.

I tried to get up, but he just pulled me closer to him. "Please don't."

"Why not?" I asked, hiding a small blush.

"Because, beautiful, I have to tell you something." He said.

That time, I didn't hide my blush. "And what would that be?"

Tony say up, and I did the same.

He put his hand up to my cheek. "Well, Hayley, I love you."

He kissed me before I could reply.

"Hayley?" I heard a voice ask. "Hayley, wake up."

I woke up, still in Tony's arms, but he was asleep. Bruce was staring at me. Then I realized that that was all a dream.

I blushed. "Oh... Um... Hi Bruce."

"We need to talk." He said.

I got out of Tony's arms and shivered at the coldness. I followed Bruce outside the shelter. On the way out, Arissa whispered to me, "Looks like someone's going to get a stern talking to. Good luck."

When we got out of the shelter, Bruce looked me in the eyes and I blacked out.

"Hayley, are you listening?" Bruce asked.

I couldn't speak. I was shocked at the sight of what I believe to be Bruce's past.

I remembered when I saw Tony's past. Did the experiments do this to me? If so, I can't handle this!

"Hayley? Are you okay?" Bruce asked.

I snapped out of my fright. "Uh... Yeah, I'm fine. What were you talking about again?"

"I don't want you hanging out with Tony." He said.

My eyes widened. "Wait... WHAT!?"

"He's a playboy, a heartbreaker. I don't want him to hurt you." Bruce said.

"He's not going to hurt me." I said.

But as I said it, I start to doubt myself. He is THE playboy. What if he does end up breaking my heart?

I pushed the thought away.

"I just don't want you hurt." Bruce said.

"Where was that at the orphanage." I mumbled.

Bruce's face looked hurt. Then his face was blank.

Arissa walked to us, but stopped when Bruce said:

"You never should've tried to find me."

Okay, that hurt!

Tears welled up inside me. I ran past Arissa and into the shelter.

I cried as hard as I could when I sat back down.

"Why are you crying, Hayley?" A voice asked me.

I looked up to find Tony.

"B-Bruce..." I managed to studder out.

He sat down beside me and I told the story, leaving out the part where I saw his past.

"Bruce does know how I am." Tony said.

I looked down.

"But I would never break your heart." He lifted my chin up to face him. "Ever."

His eyes seemed to sparkle as he leaned close to me and his lips touched mine.

(Meanwhile... Arissa's POV)

I stood there in shock as Hayley ran past me.

"That was uncalled for." I said, my arms crossed.

"I didn't mean to hurt her... She just brought up the orphanage and I just..." he sighed.

I lay my hand on his shoulder, "Don't worry. She just needs time to think."

We walked into the shelter and I gasped at what I saw.

Hayley and Tony finally kissed...

It's the wrong time for that though...

Bruce ran out, clearly turning into Hulk. I just stood there and watched.

They pulled a part and saw me and blushed.

Then Hulk roared...
