Heartbreaker

Chapter {5}

     7:30 and they were all wasting time on their social media accounts. From an app to another.

"Adham, did you finish your homework?" his mother asked "Um.. yeah." Liar, he know he would have to ask someone to give him the answers. Alice said there was.... Adham cannot remember. He remembered she said something about an English worksheet that he didn't take. Adham decided to text her. The class had a group for them to chat on and luckily for him she was one of the participants. It also gave him an excuse to talk to her.

Sent, it read. Adham waited for her respond. It's been an hour since he wrote to her. Adham thought what he did was stupid and should've asked one his guy friends.
His phone later lit up. Adham loved his social media, he was always on the trends and checking girls' accounts of course. But he was surprised when he received a message from her. He thought that she would actually ignore him.

It was thoughtful of her to actually remember the English problem. However, because of Adham's stubborn mind, he decided against it.

Noah's room was considered clean. Even though his life was considered a mess at least his room was clean. He picked up his phone as he scrolled through the notifications. Noah still couldn't get the girl off his mind. He thought he should put his phone down and focus on his work. After all it was his last year in high school, he needed as much grades he can get just to get accepted into a decent university. Noah didn't know what he wanted to be. Everyone seemed to have an opinion on what he should be. His mom thinks he should be a doctor, his dad thought he should become a business man, and his grandmother thought he should be a lawyer. Noah knew he would never work in the field for law, there was so much memorizing and because he didn't like his grandmother. Noah didn't enjoy either biology nor chemistry. As for his father's opinion, he only wanted to give him the family's business.

He tried to push away the thought and focus on his German homework. Two minutes into the work his door knocks and opens, "Hey Noah," his sister pauses by the door, Noah turns in his chair, "The photography exhibition's opening is next next week. Just wanted to inform you." She says as she smiles sheepishly. Noah huffed a laugh. "I promised I'll take you." Lily nods her head, walking out and closing the door behind her softly.

'Dude, do you think Adham will give us that girl's number?' Caleb's message lit his phone up.

Noah thought about it, Adham didn't seem like he was interested but Adham was so hard to read. 'Ask him and tell him to sent on the group,' Noah quickly typed up and focused back to his work. Was she going to be another game? Or was she going to be something different?

Caleb's aunt left and his cousin decided to leave him the cookies, even though she loved cookies. She was like a mini cookie monster. She is so cute! Caleb unlocked his phone and sent a text to Adham. 'Can you send the girl's number?' he texted him. Adham's respond was quick and straight forward with the digits. Caleb smiled to himself. Adham sent it on the group between the three of them.
Caleb thought that they should make a bet and whoever wins her over wins.
The boys agreed. It's a shame how boys think of girls like this. They think she's a doll they get to play with and once they're bored, they find another one to play with.

That was a short chapter, don't you think? I hope you guys started to understand that I'm adding some lessons about life in here and a lot of reality that sadly is happening around us a lot.

Sadly, people seem like they don't have any shame about it.
