I'm not a big believer
In things like happiness,
So just like any atheist
Would be surprised to find Jesus
Walking around on a Sunday,
I tend to take note
Of the things that surprise me.
And all the mental photographs I have,
(Because I really am okay with pictures,
If they're only memories)
Feature you,
Deciding whether it's really worth it
To stop laughing.
On any given day,
I'd tell you to let your melodic chuckle
Fill the room,
Whether it's going to bother the university students or not.
And, if you really want me to be happy,
You'll listen.
