perhaps...

I guess you never believed me when I told you I'm not really a people person. I can tolerate them, but that has never ever meant I like being in crowds, busy hallways or stuffy classrooms. 

I guess you never actually understood that sometimes I get sad, and want to be alone, because I was able to push that aside when you needed me. 

I guess that you don't like isolation any more than I do, but sometimes I need someone that isn't you to talk to.

I guess that there's too much guesswork involved in someone I thought I knew so well.
