I stole your eyes,
so you would never have to see war.
Your arms are in my freezer
to prevent you from reaching into the past.
Your lips are dressed in barbeque sauce
so you'll never have to eat your words again.
Eventually I took your head, too
to save you from your mind.
The bits of you that are left
are finally
safe.
