Chapter 5

After Barry asked me to go on date with him I had to tell someone. So I sped out of CCPD and down to S.T.A.R. Labs to tell Cisco.

"Hey Cisco, guess what!" I said excitedly.

"What," he asked with an odd expression on his face.

"Barry asked me out!" you said with a smile.

"OMG!" Cisco screamed as he had a fangirl moment, "I told you I ship it from the beginning and now it's actually happening!"

"Relax Cisco It's not like we're getting married," I said trying to make him relax.

"I know, I know but you might!" Cisco said.

All I could do was laugh before I went home and passed out on the couch.

Barry's POV:

I came home a little early and saw Y/N asleep on the couch. She looked so peaceful and beautiful I thought to myself. It was getting late so I picked her up bridal style and carried her up to the guest bedroom. As I set her down I saw a slight smile on her face and covered her with a blanket. I was about to walk away when I felt her hand grab mine and squeeze it. "You don't have to go," she said. I turned around and smiled, then I laid down on the bed next to her and she nuzzled her head into my chest and I wrapped my arms around her. I couldn't help but smile as I kissed her forehead and said goodnight.

Y/N POV:

I felt Barry pick me up and carry me upstairs, as he set me down I couldn't help but smile at least a little, I heard Barry turn and I reached out and grabbed his hand and said: "You don't have to go." He turned and then crawled into bed with me, I nuzzled my head into his chest and he wrapped his arms around me, I felt safe, and then he kissed my forehead. Then we both fell asleep.

I woke up the next morning and saw Barry asleep, I smiled and moved my head closer into his chest. I felt him wrap his arms tighter around me as I did.

A few hours later we both decided it was time to get up, it was Sunday so Barry didn't have to work, but he said he was gonna go to S.T.A.R. Labs. I decided to stay home and get ready for our date later. I decided to go casual, but still nice. At 6:00 Barry knocked on the door, so I walked downstairs and opened the door.

"Wow," he said with a stunned expression."Shall we," he said as he offered me his arm.

"Yes," I said walking out the door.

"So where are we going?"

"It's a surprise," he said with a smile.

Later that night:

We arrived home, and I sat on the couch. Barry looked pretty exhausted, he explained earlier that he had spent the whole day training at S.T.A.R. Labs.

"You okay?" I asked.

"Yeah, just tired," he replied while yawning.

"I had a really nice time tonight."

"I did too," he said smiling. 

He let out another yawn and I realized just how tired he really was.

"Goodnight Barry," I said, then I kissed him on the cheek and started walking away when he suddenly stood up and grabbed my hand, he spun me around and kissed me on the lips. At first, I was hesitant, then I kissed back as he wrapped his hands around my waist, and I wrapped my arms around his neck. I could almost hear the fireworks going off. We broke away for air, and he just looked at me a smile on his face.

"Goodnight Barry,"

"Goodnight Y/N."

I walked up to my room, I couldn't stop thinking about what had just happened. Then I changed and fell asleep.

I awoke in the middle of the night screaming. Until I heard Barry saying my name.

"Hey, hey Y/N...what's wrong," Barry asked with worry in his eyes.

"Nothing, I was just..just having a nightmare about that night," I said referring to the night Reverse Flash killed my family.

"It's okay," he said while embracing me in a hug, "You're safe now," he said as I began to cry into his shoulder.

A few minutes later I had stopped crying and Barry was about to leave.

"Barry..wait, will you stay with me?"

"Of course," he said as he crawled into bed next to me.

I turned and nuzzled my head into his chest as he pulled me closer and wrapped his arms around me protectively.

"Goodnight Y/N," he said as he kissed my forehead.
