Demilade
Temporary happiness is slowly becoming permanent. It's been eight months since I started living with Mitch and five since he first kissed me.
We had fallen into a sort of familiar routine. Maggie still worked at the hospital but now lived in the West wing along with Etienne and Taio since I've moved in Mitch. If we were on a soap opera, they'd try to sell us as a dysfunctional family with deep love for each other. Dysfunctional? Hell yeah. Deep love? Not so sure.
I was settling in and maybe - on days when I allowed myself to stop thinking - falling in love with Mitch. Happiness was within my reach but I couldn't touch it. Not unless I let go of the past.
That's why I'm stepping out of my comfort zone with cliché candles, roses and my birthday suit.
"Hey. I'm home."
