Chapter Twenty Two

Earlier that morning Reann was sitting with Merry and Pippin.

"Lembes, elvish waybread. One small bite is enough to fill the stomach of a grown man." Legolas told them and walked away

"How many did you guys eat?" Merry asked

"Four." Pippin said

"Ten, once me and Bombour had an eating contest with these things made it passed twenty." Reann said to herself smiling

The hobbits smiled at her amazed and laughed stopping though looking behind her. Reann confused turned around seeing Haldir standing there smiling at her.

"My lady I wish to bid you farewell on your journey." He said

"Farewell my dear Haldir." Reann said getting up hugging him though she was way shorter than him

"Farewell my lady I shall be thinking of you every night looking at the stars." He told her kissing her hand

With that he walked away and Reann got in a boat. The rest also going in a boat sharing one. As they rowed away they each got flashback of the gifts they had received from Galadriel.

"My gift for you is the bow of Galadhrim. Worthy of the skill of our woodland kin." She told him moving on to Merry and Pippin

"These are daggers of Nolodorin. They have already seen service in war. Do not fear, young Peregrin Took. You will find your courage." She told them

"And for you Samwise Gamgee, elven rope made of hithlain."

"Thank you my lady. Have you run out of those, nice shiny daggers?" He questioned causing her to smile

"And what gift would dwarves ask of the elves?" Galadriel asked Gimli and Reann

"Nothing except to look upon the lady of  Galadhrim one last time, for she is more fair than all jewels beneath the earth." Gimli said

Galadriel smiled walking away only for Gimli to stop her

"Actually, there was one thing." He said

"No no I couldn't. It's quite impossible stupid to ask." He said to himself

"My dear Reann I do not know anyway to talk to the deceased. I do have a gift to you it was found many years ago." Galadriel told her taking out a bear from behind her

Reann looked at it and smiled grabbing it, it was her bear her dad had made her she had lost it after the trolls.

Galadriel raised her hand waving to them. Haldir smiling at Reann, her smiling back. On a boat was her Gimli, and Legolas paddling.

"I have taken my worst wound at this parting, having looked my las upon that which is fairest. Henceforth I will call nothing fair unless it be her gift to me." Gimli said

"What was her gift?" Legolas asked

"I asked for one hair from her golden head. She gave me three." He said

"She gave me my bear my father had given me many sixty years ago. It came from his own fur he used to always wear." Reann told them smiling

"Is that Kili's coat as well then because if I remember correctly you wore a elven cloak, and all white and grey with a silver crown." Legolas said

"Yes it's the only thing I still have left of him along with the beads and ring. Not a day goes by I don't think of him all of the company. I'm going to miss Gloin, and Bilbo dearly." Reann said whispering at the end
