"It takes an awful lot of courage to see the world in all its tainted glory and still to love it." Oscar Wilde

We are still in the season of light, in the eight days of Christmas. The focus is on the holy child, sent by God, offered by woman, to save the world. And on the need to save the world.

There was no snow in Bethlehem, but white as snow is the colour of the priests' robes, to signify the sanctity of this feast, and the purity of the Christ child.

Don't throw the tree out yet. It's not over!

Let the heavens rejoice

Let the earth be glad

Let the sea and all within it thunder praise

Let the trees of the forest clap their hands

Let the earth be filled with the glory of the Lord

Psalm 96:11

I am particularly fond of the tree in the picture. I think I have heard him whisper 'I am Groot' but I can't be sure, at a world heritage site in the uk, Fountains Abbey. I love how his dancing spirit came out in this photo :))
