“Shut up, Adrian” I said. I wanted to bury myself under the pillows and cry because of embarrassment. Seeing Adrian sheepishly grinning, I can’t help myself from slapping him.
“Why did you do that for?” he asked raising his brows.
“Wipe that foolish grin on your face” I snapped. He tried to act smug but to no avail. A soft chuckle rouses from his lips. I don’t know what happened but the next thing I knew was that we were already laughing.
Two weeks later, we tried to keep each other’s company. I sometimes fetch him from school when he is scheduled for his painting classes. We tried so hard to keep ourselves off from the alchemist radar. Angeline was already good and civilized. She can handle small talks without ending it with a fight which is a big improvement on her part.
“Hey, Adrian, I can’t fetch you later. We have so many school works. Take the bus carefully okay?” I ordered.
“Okay,..... Bye sweetheart” he said pecking a small kiss on my cheeks.
“Hey!” I was about to grab his shirt when he hastily slip out. I shake my head and went off.
