Chapter 3

"Could I go up to my room real quick and change?" I asked Shawn.
"Yeah, I'm going to change too." He agreed.

"You guys want to join us for laser tag and pizza?" Carter asked.

Shawn and I glanced at each other.
He shrugged.

"Sure, what time are we meeting?" I asked.
"Here in 10 minutes. It's right across the street." Carter answered.

"Okay. See ya in ten." I said.

10 minutes later---

I had my high waisted jean shorts on, a one direction tank top on, and converse.

We walked into the laser tag room and got our gear on.

Team 1- Cam, Carter, Mahogany, Taylor, Hayes, Jack G

Team 2- Callie, Shawn, Nash, Aaron, Matt, Jack J

"Hey, I'm glad we're together." Matt nudged me.

I let out a nervous giggle and then walked away, towards Shawn.

"Let's go for your brother first. He's our biggest threat." Shawn whispered.
"True, follow my lead." I winked.

The bell rang and we all ran in.
I ran to our base with Shawn.

"Callie! I'm coming for you!" Cam shouted.

"Don't worry, I got you." Shawn said dramatically and grabbed my hand.
I laughed and felt someone grab my other hand.
I looked to see Matt.
I quickly pulled away and started to run around the walls and blocks.

"Shawn, this way." I pointed to their base.
"If we shoot at it, it gives us more points." I explained.

We started shooting it until we heard a beep.
"Who shot our base? Now we can't shoot for 20 seconds!" I heard Mahogany yell.

I looked at Shawn and let out a giggle.

We stayed on the outskirts of the room so we weren't out in the middle.

"Level 2" the intercom said.
It got pitch black.
"Shawn? Shawn is that you?" I grabbed his shoulder.

"I think we need to go after Taylor because he's right around the corner. I think." I said.
He didn't say anything. He just stood there.

Then green lights turned on.

I looked up and Shawn was across the room. And I was holding onto Taylor.

"Oh crap!" I yelled and started running away from him.
"Everyone get Callie!" He yelled.

I ran to the middle and Cam grabbed me by the hips and Carter grabbed me by the legs.
"No!!!!!" I screamed.

Everyone was laughing super hard.
Shawn came over and grabbed me bridal style.
"Thank you." I whispered.

"Times up" the intercom said.

"Well, that was fun! Pizza sound good?" Matt asked us.
"Yeah, pepperoni please!" I answered.

"And sausage." Shawn added.

We sat down and waited for our food.

"You guys want to go for another round?" Taylor yelled.

I shook my head, I was exhausted.
"I'll stay here with Callie- you guys go ahead." Shawn announced.

"You can go if you want." I said.
"No, it's alright. I want to stay here with you." He grinned.

I blushed and nervously pulled out my phone.
"I like your case." He said.
"Oh thanks, I got it for 6 dollars on amazon." I raised my eyebrows.
It's a Selena Gomez case, she's my idol.

"So you like her music? Or acting?" He asked.
"Both, she's just so confident. I wish someday I could meet her and ask her how she started with her music. It's so hard." I answered.

"True. I started on vine and it was by accident." He laughed.
I laughed back.

"You should start posting covers on YouTube. You are really good from what I've heard." Shawn said.

"Here's your pepperoni and sausage pizza." The waiter placed it on our table.

The guys started to file in, and Mahogany.

We got back to the hotel and it was around 11:40.
"I'm tired, I'm going to bed." Cam said to me.
"What time should I be ready tomorrow?" I asked him.
"Around 9." He answered.

Everyone was in bed but me.
I couldn't sleep. I sat on the couch and watched Gossip Girl on my MacBook.

I laughed and awed until I heard someone open up a door.
It was Shawn.

"Hey." I said.
He jumped back.
"Oh my gosh! You scared me." He giggled and grabbed his chest.

"Haha....sorry." I whispered.

"What are you watching this late?" He said walking over to the open kitchen and pouring a glass of water.

"Gossip Girl." I admitted.

He smirked and sat next to me.

"Why can't you sleep? Something on your mind?" He asked setting his water on the coffee table.

"Um....I don't know. I'm really anxious for tomorrow I guess." I answered.

"Oh, me too. I have a song that I've barely worked on and I'm not sure if I should sing it or not. I have a recording- would you listen to it?" He pulled out his phone and earbuds.

"Yeah, sure." I answered.

"I thought that I'd been hurt before....but no one's ever left me quite this sore." It's started out.

I felt Shawn scoot in and place his hand on the couch behind me.
I scooted in too.
Next thing I know our cheeks are touching.
"Um, that's amazing." I said breaking the silence.

"Thanks, well I'm going to bed. You should do the same." He whispered and winked.

I put my laptop down and slid into bed.
Tomorrow is a long day and I need to be well rested.
