I was walking home when I bumped into a chest,

" Oh I'm so sorry "

I looked up to see a man a bright blue eyes,

" No I'm sorry I wasn't looking, my bad "

" I'm Dick, Dick Grayson " He said

" I'm Y/N, Y/N L/N " I said back to him with a smile

" Hey Y/N I was wondering if you would like to accompany me on a walk to the coffee shop? " Dick said while offering out a hand to me

" I would love to " I said while taking his hand

Time Skip

While I was walking with Dick I learned that he was the last flying Grayson, and that his parents had died. But he was adopted by the billionaire Bruce Wayne.

" So Y/N I told you about myself, now how about you tell me about yourself " He said to me while opening the door to the coffee shop

" Hm when let's see, both of my parents past away, my mom from cancer and my dad died in a car crash. So now I'm living with my aunt. " I said while stepping inside the shop

" Oh I'm so sorry " He said while resting a hand on my shoulder

I just shrugged, " I'm kind of over it I guess, I still miss them but, life has to move on.." I said with a sigh, " I guess both of our lives were pretty rough "

" Yeah....but in the end everything will work out" He said while sitting at a table for two, " Well? Are you just going to stand there all day to sit down with me? " He said with a small smile

I returned that smile and sat on the opposite side of him,

" So Dick how old are you? " I asked him trying to start a conversation

" Well, I'm 18 ( A/N I know that he wasn't in Gotham but for the sake of this one shot... go with it ) and I'm new to Gotham High School " He said " How about you? "

" Wait your new to Gotham High School? " I asked him " I go there and I didn't see you "

He just looked down at his hands, " Yeah well, I'm don't like being the new kid, so I guess I kind of avoided everyone "

" Dick! How are you supposed to get to know people? " I asked him " Here, tomorrow I will meet you at the flagpole and you can hang with me " I said to him

He just smiled and nodded his head, " Yeah that would be nice "

I looked down at my watch, Shoot!

" Hey Dick I have to go.... Can I get your number so I can call you sometime? " I said while standing up

" Yeah sure here " He said while handing me a small piece of paper with his number on it,

" Ok well bye Dick! I better see you tomorrow ! " I yelled to him while walking out of the coffee shop,

" Wouldn't miss it for the world" He yelled back at me, I started walking back home

Hmm this day wasn't so bad after all...
