New Girl

Soleil's POV

"Sweetie, if anything happens let us know okay?" my mother told me

"Nothing bad will happen to me mom." I answered lazily. I don't even think I would be able to have friends because I had body guards. I guess you're all curious why I have one. Let me formally introduce my self. I'm Soleil Manuel the only child of the current president. Now I know a lot of people would die to be in my place but to be honest, nothing's really special and it's actually way worse because I don't get to hang out like the good old times for security reasons.

My mom bid me goodbye but I am way sure that I will cost a commotion because my dad will be going with me for my first day of college. For the past few years, I have been home schooles but I had really high grades. Maybe I got this from my parents. As I got inside the car, I can't understand what I'm feeling. I don't know whether I should be nervous or scared. I'm scared of getting used just because my daddy is the president.

The car arrives in a well known university for elite people. What I meant by elite is the children of famous celebrities, politicians (which I belong by the way), businessmen and great doctors and lawyers. It is known as Malaya University.

"Wow." was all I can say. I had admired the surroundings that I see through the window. It is really a big university and it's clean. People wore decent clothes, which I am happy about.

The car stopped from moving. My daddy went out and as usual a lot of people had gathered around him. This is what I hate about being the presidential daughter, having people knowing you and maybe judging you without even knowing what's the real story.

I came out. People were looking at me. Why wouldn't they? I'm a new face in this school and not to mention the daughter of the president and I'm confident about the fact that I'm pretty. I'm not being narcissistic but that's the truth.

Body guards had followed me, thank God for the hall isn't packed yet with students. I was walking towards the principal and he had handed me the school map and my class schedule. I had Biology the first thing. Oh just so you know, I'm taking up Medicine. I really wanted to be a Neurologist.

When I was walking to my first class, I then realised that the hall is now packed with students. I can see them staring at me as if I was their prey and they were my predators. It's making me uncomfortable. They started whispering like, "Is that the president's daughter?" , "Oh my God she's really pretty." , "That's Soleil Manuel." All I can do is smile back at them.

I was still walking when a lot of girls where giggling non stop. As if they were being tickled. Their eyes were focused on a group of guys. A group consisting of four men. They walked as if they own the school. I'm pretty sure that they are still freshies like me but how could they be so famous?

There was a girl beside me and she was one of those girls. It's not a sin to ask right?

"Uhm, why are they all giggling?" I asked the girl beside me

She turned her head towards me and her eyes went big as if she was so shocked that I had asked her a question. "Oh my God! Soleil Manuel just asked me who Ezekiel was!" she chirped and it was loud enough for everyone can hear.

I started hearing some answers. "He's Ezekiel Ford. Son of Ryan and Christine Ford, the owner of Ford Empire and he is also a famous celebrity! He sings and acts!"

Oh. So he was that heart throb where my friend Sue keeps telling me.

"Their known as the Four Musketeers. Ezekiel, John, Heath and Rain!" another one shouted.

I just didn't mind them and walked towards my Biology class. The body guards has to wait outside and it's a good thing because I think it will be so weird that they will be here inside.

Everyone looked at me as I entered the room. I sat at the middle where I can saw a vacant chair. As I sat down, the girl beside me started introducing herself.

"Hi I'm Ally." she said nicely. She looks pretty and I think she look like someone.

"I'm Soleil." I answered nicely

She smiled, "I know! Omg! Can you be my friend?" she asked me

"Uh, yeah sure." Atleast I made a friend during my first day in school

The professor then entered and started to call our names.

When the professor called Ally's name everyone looked at her. I then realised why everyone knew her. She was Allison Ford, the twin sister of Ezekiel. She told me after she was called. So that's why she looked familiar.

When the professor called my name, they looked at me and started whispering as usual. I think they still didn't get over to thr fact that I'm studying here.

The teacher then started about the basics and I couldn't help but think how easy her lesson was. The bell rang signalising for the next class.

As I went out the guards immediately rose up from their seats and went with me towards my second class. As I was heading someone shouted.

"Hey new girl!" I thought it wasn't me so I started to walk not minding the person that shouted,

"Hey Soleil!" this time I looked at who was calling me and it was no other than Ally.

I looked at her. She then said, "You will seat with me in lunch, okay?"

I smiled back and said yes to her request.

Being the new girl isn't as bad as I expected. Well I hope not since it's only the first few hours of college.
