Welcome Party

*Stephen's POV*

I sat on my bed in my room with my head in my hands. Every time I tried to think of something all that

popped up was Ash's face. I grunted in frustration as I stood up and looked out my window. All the

pack members were setting up the yard for the welcome party which I hope Ash comes to. We had to

talk about this better than we did at school but I have a feeling he doesn't want to talk to me at all.

"I don't care if he said he wanted me to leave him alone I'm the next in line to be alpha therefore he

can't tell me what to do." I snarled.

"Stephen, are you coming down to help?" My mother asked as she walked into my room picking up a

few items in my room. I turned toward her and sighed.

"Yeah, is dad already down there?"

"Of course he is dear. He's getting ready just like you should be." And with that she walked out of my

room. I groaned as I quickly followed behind her into the living room where my father was setting up

beer pong for the younger werewolves. Yes if you must know werewolves don't get drunk so I doesn't

matter how old the pup is he or she can still drink.

"Hey son do you think this will intrigue the young ones?" my father asked looking at the game placed

on the table.

"Yeah dad it should be fine." I grumbled as I sat down on one of the couches.

"Did something crawl up your ass and die?"

"No just a lot of shit is going to happen when the new members come along. We'll have to find them a

house near the pack house. Make sure they are welcomed but every one ect."

"Don't worry so much kiddo there are only two members joining tonight so it'll go by smoothly." Dad

laughed as he walked over to my mom and lead her outside to look at what all of the other members

have done to the yard.

"I hope you're right dad because your son here found his mate." I sneered before closing my eyes to

rest for a moment.

*Ash's POV*

"Ash quit pouting at least you got home early because of your new friend." My mother hissed as I

looked out the widow pissed off because she was really making me go to this stupid welcoming party.

I mean why should I go? My mate rejected me therefore it's going to hurt like hell just to be around him

knowing he will never want me.

"Mom I don't understand why on earth I have to go. I mean come on it's just some stupid party. I really

don't have to go." I snarled as turned and looked at her. She sighed and tightened her hands around

the stirring wheel, turning her knuckles white.

"Hun just listen to me, we need to find a new home and I think this might be it." she pulled into a large

farm like area with people everywhere. I sighed as I realized this was the pack welcome party. My

mother parked the car a swiftly got out and glared at me waiting so I would get out. I slowly got out of

the car and sluggishly walked over to her.

"Good now come on lets go meet everyone." She giggled leading the way toward a whole bunch of

people.

"Ash! Ash! Over here." I heard a familiar female voice yelled as she pounced onto my back. I looked

over my shoulder to see who was on my back and I wasn't really surprise to see Nina giggling. I pulled

away from my mother which thankfully she was okay with as Nina got off my back.

"Hey Nina I'm glad to see someone I meet at school." I laughed.

"Well that's good, come on all the kids are playing beer pong in the house, let's go watch." She started

pulling me into the house where almost all the kids from school were in there.

"Umm Nina I'm not good with crowds. I think I would prefer to be outside."

"Oh quit being such a wuss Ash you'll be fine plus Stephen's in here." Just then my heart felt like it

dropped deep in to my stomach and then bounced up into my throat. I couldn't be in here knowing

Stephen might be anywhere close by. I could feel tears prickling at the corners of my eyes but I

wouldn't let anyone in the pack see them all fall.

"Hey what's wrong Ash?" Nina asked. She stopped pulling me and gave me a sympathetic look. I just

shook my head and smile at her.

"It's nothing Nina don't worry about it." I told her when I felt arms snake around my waist and a warm

hard chest pressing against my back.

"Excuse me miss, but I would like to speak to Ash alone for a moment." A cocky voice spoke into my

ear and I instantly knew who it was.

"No Nina can stay Lane!" I snarled, trying to get out of his grasp. Nina giggled and just stared at us in

amusement.

"Ash there's someone who's not going to like this." Nina pointed her small finger at Lane and me.

"I could care less about it. Damn it Lane can you please let go of me."

"Sorry can't do that because I wanna dance with ya." I look at Nina pledging with my eyes to help me

but she giggled and shrugged. Lane dragged me over to the dance floor with Nina trailing behind us

when the song 'For Your Entertainment' by Adam Lambert came on. Everyone danced but me because

Lane held on to my waist but that didn't last long when Lane was punched by none other than

Stephen. He glared at me before he grabbed my arm and dragged me upstairs. What the fuck is with

everyone grabbing me for damn it.
