Morning classes went by fast thankfully but now I had to find my way to the lunch room in this huge ass

school. I grumbled to myself and groaned in frustration.

"Hey you, new kid." A female voiced barked behind me. I looked to see who it was but there was only a

chocolate colored wolf staring at me with soft honey eyes.

"Um can I help you?" I asked her.

"I thought maybe I could show you around and maybe even be your first friend in this hell of a school."

"Um thanks I would love that, I'm Ash."

"I'm Nina." Nina said shifting into her human form. She pulled up her dark brown hair and smiled at

me. "Come on let's get going." She giggled, grabbing my arm and lead me down halls toward the

lunch room. We walked over to a table and sat down, with Nina jabbering her jaws off about anything

that popped into her head. To tell you the truth it was kind of annoying but she was nice enough to

invite me to sit with her.

"So why did your mom want to join a pack filled with jerks?" Nina asked.

"We my father had died and so mom wants me to find a mate so we can settle down.........sadly I

found my mate already." I told her whispering the last part to myself but thanks to werewolf hearing

Nina heard the last part too.

"No way who is it? Please oh please tell me." she begged, causing me to chuckle at her. Maybe we

could become friends.

"Okay first off I'm gay and secondly my mate is......................Stephen."

"Oh my god -"I quickly covered her mouth with my hand and growled.

"Don't you dare tell anyone Nina, I will talk to him about it first."

*Stephen's POV*

I sat at my lunch table with a bunch of my friends trying to get Ash out of my head. I couldn't stop

thinking about him ever sense our first contact this morning.

"Hey Babe what you thinking about." This girl Sheena asked as she sat down on my lap. I gave her a

kind smile even though I wasn't in the mood for her.

"It's nothing Sheena don't worry about."

"Well then if it's nothing then we should go find somewhere private." She said biting her trying to look

cute but failing at it. Just then a sweet smell drifted toward me. It was so sweet but it had a bitter side

to it. I looked over at a table where Ash had sat down by um I think girl's name is Nina or something

like that. Then what startled me next was Ash covering her mouth and giving her the harshest glare I

had ever seen.

"Mine!" my wolfed howled at me.

"You mean ours, wait what am I saying he can't be our mate." I growled trying to ignore the pull telling

me to go talk to Ash but finally I gave in.

"Excuse me Sheena I need to have a chat with the newest member." I said to her nodding my head

over toward Ash. She looked over at him and smiled.

"He's a cutie aint he." She giggled getting of my lap. "Though I don't understand why He's over there

with that weirdo." I rolled my eyes at her as I got up and walked over to Ash and Nina. I could hear part

of their conversation and funny thing is it made me happy to know they were talking about me.

"Well what do we have here?" I asked sweetly to Ash who noticed me right away and nibbled on his lip

nervously. Now that's cute wait what am I thinking I must be going crazy. "Nina Get lost I need to speak

to this LITTLE one alone." I snarled at her. Her eyes saddened but nodded before getting up and

leaving to another table.

"Why did you have to be such an ass to her just then?" Ash growled, I cocked my eyebrow in

amusement. For a freshman he was very well built and tall but I had to show him who runs the pack.

"Because I can now get up I need to speak to you in private." I growled pulling him up by the shirt and

dragging him down the halls into an empty classroom.

"What the hell are you doing the bell is going to ring any minute now."

"Ash shut up for a moment." I snarled running my hands through my hair as I tried to figure out an easy

way to tell him I was rejecting him as a mate. "Look ash this isn't easy for me to say but I....... I can't be

your mate, it just wouldn't work out."I said staring at Ash's bright green eyes which seemed to duel as I

spoke.

"It's.....its fine don't worry about it." He snarled trying to sound as if he didn't care but obviously he did.

"Ash I just don't role that way and I have a reputation to keep."

"Liar!" my wolf growled but I just ignored him.

"Stephen its okay besides, you're right it wouldn't work out because you're an ass." He growled glaring

at me walking toward the door. He stopped for a moment and looked back at me. " I'm going to find

Nina and I would like it f you never talk to me again." He flipped me off as he spoke before

disappearing behind the classroom door.

"Way to go, you pissed off my mate already." My wolf groaned.

"It's our mate.....damn it quit doing that." I snapped before storming out of the classroom heading for

my next class.
