Not two seconds after Em blacked out Ty was unconscious next to her. I look to Trist for an answer but he just mirrors my own expression.
suddenly the hovercraft jerks and starts to fill with smoke. I can feel us descending way to fast to even be an emergency landing.
I can hear Trist gasping next to me as the situation dawns on me. We have been hit by another hovercraft and we need to brace for impact. One look at Trist tells me he is thinking the same thing and as if we had practiced for hours we jumped onto the crumpled forms of our siblings and drag them toward the door ready to jump if necessary.
Dad and Gale come back in the room just as the hovercraft hit the ground knocking us all off our feet.
"Get out!" Gale shouts at us as the door opened
"Emily!" I shout in answer
Gale grabs her limp body up and runs out I'm hot on his heels and I know Dad has Ty in his arms and Trist is close behind.
When we are all out of the burning hovercraft Gale and Dad go to find some better cover to wait till Ty and Em wake up.
