Chapter 1

Hey guys,

So this is my new story 'true love'! I'm so excited to write this! :)

So we start at the beginning of Season 4 when Marian is back (Zelena is not Marian this time around). And we go from there; sorry I don't want to give the plot away!

I hope you enjoy, here's the first chapter! :)

Regina

I rush out the doors of Granny's the cold air rushing towards me and hitting my lungs, cooling me down.

How could I have been so stupid? To think that I deserved a happy ending after all the things I've done! Why did I think I could be happy? Have love? After everything I've done.

I hear the door of the diner open and footsteps coming down the stairs, why can't I be left alone?!

"Regina..." I hear Emma start, the fear evident in her voice

"Not now Swan, you're the last person I want to speak to" I mutter through my teeth

"I'm so sorry, when I bought Marian back I didn't know who she was! I never intended to cause you pain! It's not my fault! I saved her from you because she was innocent!" she sighs

"Well your intentions really don't matter, because once again I've felt the brunt of heroism, always the villain, even when I'm not" I sigh, turning around to face her now

"What am I supposed to do?" she shrugs back

"Well you were dumb enough to travel through time; maybe you should have left things well enough alone" I snap, my anger rising now

"I won't apologize for saving someone's life" she sighs

"She was going to die anyway! What did it matter?!" I huff in frustration

Emma's about to reply when the door to the diner opens again, Robin, Roland and Marian coming out this time, making panic rise in the pit of my stomach.

"Marian please, meet her, she's not at all what you think!" Robin begs his wife we thought to be dead

He steps towards me, the fear and panic worsening as I look at his wife's face, fear and anger plastered on her face as she looks at me, I know I did something to this woman that was unforgiveable and I know it's only going to make the situation a lot worse.

"ROBIN ARE YOU INSANE?! SHE TRIED TO KILL ME! SHE'S A MONSTER!" Marian yells, making tears form in my eyes

"Marian, please! Just give her a chance! She's changed! I know it!" he reasons, standing beside me

"ARE YOU REALLY CHOOSING TO BE ON HER SIDE? WHY? SHE TRIED TO KILL ME ROBIN! WHY ARE YOU BEING NICE TO THAT... THAT BITCH!" she screams back at him

"Wait... are you two, together?" she frowns

"Marian please, we need to talk about this" he mumbles, the fear of his wife showing in his voice

"You and the evil queen: the woman who tried to kill me? Did you let her near my son? Do you know what she's done, the terror that she's inflicted! Are you completely blind to what she's done Robin?!" she interrupts him, glaring at me

The door opens again, Snow and Charming coming out this time, concern for me plastered on their face.

"Is everything alright? Regina you okay?" Snow asks, frowning at the situation that's currently playing out

But I can't reply, I can't even move.

Marian looks around at everyone, confusion and anger in her eyes

"Why are you all talking to her? What is wrong with you all? She's a monster! She inflicted pain on all of you!" she cries out

"Marian, stop, please! She's not that person anymore!" Robin begs

She lets out and angry, frustrated sigh and then turns to me, I have to bite my lip to stop the tears falling from eyes.

"First you try to kill me and now you're trying to take away my family? You really are a bitch" she growls

The next thing I know her hand is flying across my face, making me stumble back at the impact, I fall to the ground, feeling the blood pouring down my lip, but I don't care.

The tears start to fall, I poof myself away from the scene before me and land in my mansion. Collapsing on the sofa and crying and crying. I've lost my family, my only shot at happiness, it's gone. I will never get my happy ending.

Robin

"MARIAN?! WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR?!" I yell, anger rising in my chest

"ROBIN SHE TRIED TO KILL ME! SOONER OR LATER IT WOULD HAVE BEEN YOU THAT WOULD BE DEAD!" she yelled back

"YOU DIDN'T EVEN GIVE HER A CHANCE! SHE'S CHANGED! SHE'S A DIFFERENT PERSON NOW!" I argue

"ROBIN SHE WILL ALWAYS BE A MONSTER, NO MATTER WHAT! I'M YOUR WIFE, YOU LOVE ME! SHE DOESN'T LOVE YOU! SHE ONLY WANTS TO KILL YOU! THAT'S ALL SHE'S EVER WANTED!" she screams back

"Now, let's go back inside and forget this ever happened, she's gone now, we need to get on with our lives" she sighs, calming down now

I let out a sigh and follow her back in

Snow

"David we need to find her! This could be the breaking point for her!" I panic, the worry for my step mother growing by the second

"It's all my fault" Emma mumbles

"Emma this isn't your fault, you did what you thought was right, we're going to find Regina and we're going to make this right okay?" I reassure her

"I'll go after her, I know where she'll be" Henry offers

"No, Henry, we need to give her some space, she needs it" I say

"You don't think she'll go dark again will she?" Henry panics

"I hope not Henry, she's come too far" I sigh, holding him close to me
