Memories ( Eli X Umi ) Love Live! Fanfic

Prologue

Umi's POV ~

I'm all alone at Otonokizaka High's Student Council Room. I took a visit after a long time, after all, this is my last year in senior high. I went with the other girls too, we visited the rooftop, the classrooms, the auditorium where we held our first concert back then when we first consisted of 3 members. They probably left because we were all kind of busy.

We made an agreement that the 9 of us would study in the same universities for our Senior High and College years. We may not be school idols for the rest of our lives, but our friendship wasn't to be wasted. We preferred being with each other, the very least to be in the same campus like before. We would casually meet up in between breaks, whenever we had free time we would go for the movies or just take a quick stroll around the streets of Akihabara or simply eat out.

Our schedules were not so tight this afternoon and so, here we are paying a visit to our beloved alma mater which we saved from closing almost 4 years ago.

I was walking around the the room, touching all the objects that had our precious memories attached to them until my hands felt an unfamiliar object "Huh?.. What's this? " in my hand was an oval ice blue pendant enveloped with a gold border with intricately carved swirls and waves "I wonder whose is this?"  I placed the pendant inside my bag before giving one last glimpse of the room

I head out the door and while I was thinking of what I should have for dinner I was interrupted by a loud thud coming from the council room.

I followed the noise I heard and saw someone enter the room. The figure was crouching, her hands placed on her bare knees, panting hard as soon as she got there " E-Eli? "

"What's up?"

Breathlessly, she leaned against the door trying to catch her breath, fanning herself  "Umi, have you seen a pendant in there?" she pointed inside the closed room

"Oh, you mean this one? " I showed her the pendant that I got earlier, her eyes closed and she sighed in relief

"Thank goodness, where did you find it?" she took the pendant from my hand and wore it around her neck

"I-I got it inside the room. You could've tried to catch your breath first 'ya know"

"Forgot about that" she chuckled and straightened her figure

We were now walking in the busy streets of tokyo having a casual conversation amidst the sea of people "How important is that pendant to you? "

She looked at me "This? My grandma gave this to me when I was still little. She gave this to me as a present for the ballet audition " she sighed and looked up at the sky, filled with beautiful hues of pink and orange "How about you? Did any of your family members give you something special? " she held my hand, interlocking both our fingers flashing a smile. Her hands were soft and warm, but I liked the feeling. I knew I was getting flustered although I did my best to hold it off.

"Me? Well, my dad gave me my bow when I was little too. He wanted me to practice archery since it's our family's tradition to have an archery match every summer vacation. It's also our family sport " I giggled, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear

She dragged me inside a café nearby. Jazz music mixed with the conversations of all the people inside, the smell of coffee and pastries filled the air.

We're having 2 Mochis each. She also ordered a parfait by her side. A really, really, big one.

I laughed at the sight "Can you really eat that? I mean, it's really big! For your size I guess.. "
(lol, hey there Lenny) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

She pointed out to the freshly served parfait "This? Oh, I wanted to share this with you!" Is it just me or she's acting weird? "Thanks? That's great? " she smiled at me whilst handing over a spoon, eyeing all those people who had their eyes darted on us

"Jeez.. These people are so damn annoying! " Eli mumbled digging her spoon in the parfait "Don't mind them and let's finish up, okay? " she nodded and we finished the whole parfait up

We went out of the café and walked past the street heading to the grocery store because I needed to do some shopping

" You just need to pick up groceries and.. That's it? " she asked me while she let her hair down. She's so pretty >__<

" Yeah and I'll head home.. " I looked away but to my surprise she held my hand and we ran towards the grocery store while she was giggling

She's been acting a bit different today with the mini date and all but strangely, I'm starting to like it??

OH MY GOD MY 2016 SELF WAS SOO CRINGEY, I rewrote this part because there are lots of unnecessary parts in my opinion ;) but oh well, I'm an EliUmi shipper, I guess that's how I expressed my love for them way back then : D Have a good day!!
