Chapter 18

Diamond POV

I got home and my moms car was in the driveway. I ran to the front door and unlocked it.

"Mami" I yelled running up the stairs after dropping my book bag at the door
I ran into her room and hugged her. We talked about her trip and then it came time for me to tell her about August.
"I met a boy mom" I smiled sitting on her bed, my mom was my bestfriend I told her almost everything
"Who is he ? When will i meet him ?" She paused for a second and whispered "Is he cute ?"
I giggled and held her hand
"Yes ma, HE IS SOOOO CUTEEEE" I thought of his smile
"His name is August and I want you to meet him Friday, he took me out on the perfect date and was such a gentleman" I told my mom she smiled at me
"If he makes you happy I want to meet him" she smiled as I walked out of her room to mine and closed the door to call August.

"Hey baby" he answered making me smile at the sound of his voice
"Hey baby,I missed the sound of your voice" I told him
He chuckled "I missed yours to, I'll pick you up at 6"
I looked at the clock it was already 4,
"Okay imma get ready bye"

I got in the shower and washed my hair, then lathered my body in body wash. I rinsed off then wrapped my body and hair in a towel. I dried off put my vanilla~brown sugar lotion on and started to get dressed.

I picked out black leggings, a black bandeau with a black sheer shirt over it that showed off my flat stomach a little and my black toms. I took the towel off my head and put my wet curls in a bun. I put on a black fabric hair band and red lipgloss to add some color.

After I was dressed I heard August honk his horn. I grabbed my phone and keys and ran downstairs.

"Mom I'm going to hang out with August I'll be back soon" I yelled
"I'm going to Aunt Sues house and I'll be gone late so take your keys, love you" she yelled back
"I got them, Love you too" and I walked out the door and got in August car.

"You look & smell good baby" August kissed my cheek, he had on a white sleeveless shirt that said "Cali" In cursive red letters with black jeans and his concords
"You too" I smiled as he pulled out the driveway.

By the time we got to the party it was 7:00 and the sun was setting it was a beautiful sight.

We caught up with Sincere who was with that girl from earlier.

"Wassup" he dapped August and gave me a side hug and smirked looking me up and down licking his lips.
I glared at him and then me and August went to go get something to drink. We both got some spiked punch and moved to the dance floor.

We danced a few fast pace songs then a slow one came on we'd both had atleast 2 drinks and I felt light on my feet. A few people left the dance floor making room for others but to me it felt like it was only us two.

I danced infront of him swaying my hips and he turned me around meeting my gaze. I could see the lust in his eyes, then he pulled me in for a kiss. We pulled away and I put my head on his shoulder continuing to dance. I opened my eyes to see Sincere dancing with his date and he looked back at me. I smiled and gave him a thumbs up. He looked at me but not a friendly but passionately.
I gave him a questioning look and he mouthed
"Come outside" I again looked at him strangely and he rolled his eyes
"Just c'mon" he mouthed and broke lose from his dance walking outside after telling his date he'd be back.
"I have to use the bathroom" August stopped our dance and told me
" ok I'll be outside talking to Sincere" I told him pecking his lips then I went outside.

Sincere was sitting on the porch swing and smiled as he realized I had came. His grey eyes looked kind of sad under the moon.

"Hey, having fun ?" I sat next to him watching my feet swing, still feeling light from the alcohol
"Yeah, you look good tonight" he told me, looking over at me
"Are you trying to say I didn't look good earlier?" I joked laughing
"No" he laughing catching on to the joke
"I'm sure you always look good" he looked at me licking his lips, making me uncomfortable
"Uhm thanks, I should go find August he's probably looking for me" I said meekly standing up, catching my balance.

I walked back in the house but my vision was blurry, I finally saw August and some girl was all on him.

"Eh hem" I said looking at August in disgust then turning to see the girls face, fucking Chanel.

August looked like he wanted to say something but I put my hand up to stop him.
"Oh Diamond I see your here" she smiled in my face
"Back up off my man bitch" I said through my teeth, clinching my jaw

"Your man ?" She chuckled "Why would he want a stupid little girl like you when he could have a woman like ME" she yelled the last part before I knew it the alcohol took over me and I hooked off on her not having a second thought. Once we were on the floor people were surrounding us but I didn't even care. August tried to pulled me off of her but I wasn't letting go. She got in one hit before I started coming at her hard non stop.
Once I saw blood and she was covering her nose I stopped and let August pull me off of her.

He wasn't off the hook, I couldn't even look at him.

He brought me outside and before he could talk I did.
"Forever and ever ? Yeah right, we haven't even been together a month and your letting other bitches press up on you ? I can't even look at you right now, don't talk to me" I yelled at him
"Baby calm down, it wasn't even like that" he said as he moved closer to me, I took a step back
"Save it, I don't want to talk to you " I looked at him for a second and shook my head I could feel my eyes start to water but I held it in and walked back into the party looking for a familiar face.

I was tapped on the shoulder and I turned around ready to lash out on August but it wasn't him.
"Are you ok ?" Darren asked catching me by surprise
"Yeah, how much did you see ?" I calmed down looking up at him and began to miss Aaron
"Half of you beating that girl up then you storming back in" he told Me shaking his head laughing
"Oh" I laughed to thinking back, the alcohol was wearing off and a pounding headache was replacing the feeling
"Why are you here ?" I asked trying not to sound rude
"I heard there was a party and I decided to check it out" he smiled looking around
"But now I think I should take you home" he said becoming serious and touching a bruise on my cheek
"Okay, thank you" I said as we started walking towards the front door

I walked down the stairs and to Darren's car and someone grabbed my arm pulling me into them

"Baby I promised I wouldn't hurt you and I didn't, she's trying to break what we have up" August hugged me and then let me go looking down at me with a scared and sorry expression.
I pulled away and shook my head at him
"I.. I don't know" I said as Darren pulled me to the car and got in, I turned and looked at August before I got in, he looked hurt
"I'd never hurt you August" I told him truthfully
"I'm going home, I need time to think"
He stepped closer but I shook my head
"Just think about us" he looked down at me and kissed the cheek with the bruise

I got into the car and as Darren drove away, I drifted off to sleep

Darren woke me up and we were in my driveway.
"Your home" he smiled, it kind of made me feel better
I had a throbbing headache and was ready to go to bed
"Thank you" I gave him a weak smile and a hug
"Call me when your inside safe I'll wait" Darren said sternly and I nodded getting out the car and walking up my porch

I opened the door and all the lights were off I was happy my mom was gone I didn't want her to see me like this.

I called Darren as soon as I locked the door and got to my room.
"I'm in" I told him looking out my window at him and waving
"Ok sweet dreams beautiful" he said and I hung up after saying goodnight.

I got in the shower to wash the pain away then slipped on my pajamas. I looked in the mirror and the bruise was small right under by eye.
I got in my bed and drifted off to sleep with a head ache & a heart ache.
