Chapter 17

Diamond POV

After Aaron leaving I wanted to be alone but I knew Jessica needed me. I told August to drop us off at my house, he went home since my mom was coming home tomorrow. I told Jessica she could spend the night.
We ate popcorn and watched movies then soon we fell asleep watching The Lucky One.

In the morning, we woke up and I got dressed then took Jessica home to so she could get dressed.

She lived in a pretty tan house with a flower mailbox with her mom and dad. Her mom was pretty with curly brown hair and looked just like Jessica. Her dad was funny and made jokes the whole time I waited for Jessica, I could tell why she was so happy her family was so warm and inviting.

She came downstairs dressed and we headed to school in my car. I parked near August's car and me and Jessica got out. She went to the vending machine and I got in the car with August. As I turned his face to give him a kiss him and tears were streaming down, I hugged him , I'd never seen him cry before.
"What's wrong baby ?"

August POV

I woke up early and went to see my mothers grave. As I sat there memory's of her started flooding back. The way she sang to me the way she always loved me, being my mother and father. I placed the flowers on her grave and started talking to her

"Hey mama , I really miss you & Mel, I've been out the streets and I met a girl. She's beautiful and she reminds me so much of you. She makes me want to do better" I smiled at the thought of Diamond
"I love you mama" I got up and walked away from her grave and got back in the car. I felt the tears start to pour down my face as I made my way to school.
A few minutes after I parked, Diamond pulled up. She looked flawless, she got out the car earning a few looks from guys but never payed them any mind. She got in the car and her face became sad as she hugged me

"What's wrong baby ?" She asked kissing my cheek
"I just came back from my moms grave" I stared blankly ahead after a few seconds past
"She died last year but it feels like it was last week, she had breast cancer and she didn't make it, she loved me unconditionally" a tear dropped from my eye, Diamond grabbed my hand
"My brother died a few years before, it's like everyone I love dies" I looked into her eyes
"I can't lose you" I said cupping her face and giving her a kiss

"August I'll never leave you, I'll never hurt you" she smiled at me sadly
"Forever and ever ? Remember baby ?" She reassured me looking deep into my eyes
All I could do is nod, and she opened her door and got out, I did the same.
We walked in holding hands all the way to class and sat down together.

Diamond POV

"GoodMorning class, we have a new student" the teacher came in with a
A Lightskin boy with grey eyes and a few tattoos came in I couldn't lie he was fine. But I know what I got is the best. He smiled at me as soon as he made eye contact with me and I looked away. He came to me and August's lab table

"Can I sit here ?" He asked smiling at us, his teeth were straight and white
"Yeah, Where you from you look familiar ?" August asked him dapping him
"New Orleans" he smiled, I could tell by his accent
"Me too maybe I knew you" August turned his attention towards me and I was just playing with his fingers.
"This is Diamond and I'm August" he introduced us, i smiled at the boy and said hi
"I'm Sincere " he smiled at me

"August Alsina to the main office" the loudspeaker called
"Fuck" August rolled his eyes
"What'd you do now baby ?" I laughed
"Nothing, anger management" he got up and kissed my forehead
"It was nice meeting you" he directed to Sincere and then left

Sincere started at me smiling, I couldn't take it anymore.
"May I help you ?" I asked looking up at him
"I was just admiring your beauty" he complimented me, I rolled my eyes
"Thanks" I said sarcastically then redirected my attention to the teachers instructions
