You had been in the woods a few nights ago, loving the outdoors and wanting to explore the new town around you, when out of nowhere, some animal had just run up and attacked you. It had all happened so quickly that you didn't even know what was happening until it was over. You didn't feel the searing, white hot pain shooting through your side immediately, but when it did hit you a minute later, it was like nothing you had never felt before. You couldn't move, and it felt like with every second that went by and every time your heart continued to beat, the pain just got worse and worse. After a few minutes, the beating of your heart was so loud in your ears, and the next thing you knew, you had passed out.

You didn't wake up until morning, but when you looked down at your side, the giant gaping gash that had been there (which you would swear looked like an animal bite) was gone. You had gotten up and slowly made your way to your car. Ever since then, you were feeling a bit odd. You could hear and smell things you shouldn't be able to hear or smell, like the girls gossiping out in the hallway while you were in class trying to take notes over what your teacher was lecturing about.

Scott and Liam are sitting in the cafeteria, just eating their lunch and talking about the last lacrosse game, when Scott's nose catches the smell of another werewolf. It wasn't Liam's scent, and it wasn't Malia or Kira either, not that they were exactly werewolves themselves. Scott starts looking around the cafeteria to see if he notices anyone new or out of the ordinary.

"What's going on with you?" Liam looks over at Scott weirdly. Seeing his alpha act so weird was putting Liam on edge.

"Don't you smell that? Another wolf is here." Scott turns his eyes back to Liam.

Liam shakes his head slowly. "No, I just smell you and this nasty thing this school calls a turkey burger." Liam tosses the wrapped turkey burger behind him. The sandwich finds its way to a trash can with no problem.

"We have got to work on your sense of smell." Scott sighs while turning and looking around the room again. That's when he spots you. "Hey, who's that?" Scott nods his head towards you while looking back at Liam.

"Um, some new girl." Liam shrugs his shoulders. "I think her name is Y/N. She's in my English class."

Scott stands up and pulls Liam up with him. "Let's go introduce ourselves."

"What are we, a welcome party?" Liam lets out and reluctantly follows Scott when the alpha pulls on his shirt.

A minute later, you look up from your pathetic excuse of a salad to see two boys standing in front of your table. One is clearly older than the other, who you think you recognize from at least one of your new classes. "Can I help you?" You ask the two boys warily. When you take a breath in through your nose, you notice that one of them is wearing way too much cologne this afternoon. You try not to turn your nose up in disgust.

"I'm Scott, and this is Liam." Scott pulls Liam down as he sits down across from you. "We just thought we'd introduce ourselves and welcome you to Beacon Hills." Scott pauses while discreetly taking a whiff in. He knew it was definitely you. You were the other wolf. "You are new, right?"

"Uh, yeah." You reach your hand up and tuck some of your hair behind your ear. "My family just moved here. I'm Y/N, by the way." You tell the two boys.

"Oh, why is that... That you moved here, I mean?" Liam asks. He could smell you now. He didn't know exactly was, but there was definitely something different about you than everybody else. Scott had been right.

You turn a weird eye on Liam. "Um, my dad got a new job here."

"Doing what?" Scott asks. One of the last new girls had belonged to a family of werewolf hunters. While he missed Allison and that had actually worked out for them, he wasn't looking forward to a new family of hunters moving into town if that were the case.
