Dustin was a really sweet guy; I learned a lot about him during the plane ride. Izzy just stared out the window and eventually fell asleep. The plane ride was about 4 hours, so it was a bearable ride. Dustin made it interesting.

I learned that he was my age, and that he lived in Washington. He was heading to Las Vegas to visit his mother. He loved riding dirt bikes, and camping, and being outdoors. He also watched Ghost Adventures and he actually recognized me from the episode I did with them.

“So how was it?” He asked me, a smile playing on his lips.

“How was what?” I was confused.

“Filming with GAC?!” He was bouncing up and down now.

“Woah, calm down there.” I laughed.

“Sorry, they’re like my idols. I love what they do, I’ve always been interested in the paranormal and their show isn’t like any other show I’ve seen.” He smiled at me, a dimple appearing above his left cheek.

“Well, it was quite interesting. The lockdown was intense; we did get some great evidence though. And Zak, Nick, and Aaron are all really nice people. Aaron’s hilarious, but I’m pretty sure you already knew that.” I couldn’t help but chuckle.

“It sounds like it would be so much fun. I’m so jealous of you right now.” He was trying to look upset, but it didn’t work. He just ended up laughing. I laughed with him. The rest of the plane ride went good. Dustin distracted me from most of it, and it didn’t seem like 4 hours when we landed.

Izzy was asleep when we landed, so I shook her like the world was ending. She sat up in a jolt and stared at me wide-eyed. “What’s wrong?!” She looked around frantically.

“Nothing, the plane landed and you were asleep.” I smiled at her. She glared at me and punched me in the arm. I rolled my eyes and got up from my seat. I grabbed my carry-on and then threw Izzy’s at her. She caught it with a huff of air. Dustin followed Izzy and I off the plane and over to baggage claim.

“So Amaryllis, I was wondering if I could, uh, maybe get your number?” He scratched the back of his head nervously.

I couldn’t help but smile, he looked so adorable. “Sure, let me see your phone.”

He fumbled with his pockets before he finally retrieved his phone and handed it to me. I added my number quickly, and then sent a text to myself so I would have his number. I gave him his phone back and he smiled the biggest smile I’ve seen since I met him.

“I’ll text you sometime; maybe we can meet up for dinner?” He asked while he grabbed his suitcase.

“Yeah! Sounds good! Just let me know!” I smiled and waved as he walked towards the doors of the airport. I turned to Izzy who was just standing there staring at me like she just watched me murder someone. “What are you looking at me like that for?” I asked her.

“What do you think you’re doing?!” She threw her hands up in the air.

“Uhm, grabbing my suitcase?” I was confused.

“You just gave some random guy your number! You were supposed to apologize to Zak while were here!” She was squealing now.

“He’s not some stranger; I talked to him pretty much the whole plane ride. And just because I gave him my number doesn’t mean that I’m not going to apologize to Zak. Besides it’s his fault that he was a douche in the first place.” I huffed.

Izzy sighed. “I know, but I think you and Zak would be a really good couple together. You’re both into creepy stuff, and you’re gorgeous and he’s hot. So I think you guys would be perfect.” She smiled at me.
