when you leave this way, i try hard to pretend i don't know

you at all, to prepare me for when you go, but lack of my

success seems to be an indication of devastating future

shock - hands already chopped off, eyes already gouged -

will i ever remember not to forget, before it's too late?

zebras have hooves that feature an odd number of toes. like most ungulates the eyes sits on the sides of its head. this gives these african animals a wide field of view to be on their guard against predators. ungulate refers to any mammal with hooves. a hoof is an enlarged toenail. these hoofed animals walk on tiptoe.
