Chapter 26 : A Kiss ????

Tobias's POV

I can't believe I just asked Tris to dance with me !

I mean....it was so umm....uncomfortable.Because I've never done it before.

That doesn't mean I haven't ever danced with a girl.I have.

But I wanted to dance with her !

It was just...an unthought move.Asking her to dance with me,I mean.

I just did it.

I place my one of my hand on Tris's hip and I hold her hand with my other.Tris places one of her hand on my shoulder.

We just sway to the tunes first.Looking into each other's eyes.

She's beautiful.

"I don't think I've ever told you.....I love your eyes",Tris says.

"Aren't I supposed to tell you that ? Because I'm the guy ?",I ask smiling.Tris laughs.

"Idiot",She says laughing.

"Hey...I'm smarter than you think",I say making her smile.

"Thank you.I love your eyes as well",I say meaning it.

"Of course you had to say that.You were practically forced to",Tris says smirking.

"Well...yeah ! But I did mean it",I say scratching the back of my neck.

Damn this habit of mine !

"Nah ! It's cute actually",Tris says and I look at her shocked.

"You thought out loud",Tris says.I nod in understanding.

She thinks it's cute ?

We're making progress here.Definately.

She doesn't tell anything after that and neither do I.

We just sway in comfortable silence.

Tris's POV

Tris,What the hell is wrong with you huh ?

Why're you acting like you're interested in him ?

It's just....something about him makes me forget why I'm here.

To kill him.

When I'm with him....I forget about everything else and just focus on him.

That's something he makes me do without even trying.

As we sway,I look at him.

How could someone so perfect....Kill ?

The song changes and I don't recognize it until Four sings along.

I recognize it as 'Mirrors' by 'Justin Timberlake'.

I used to have like,this huge crush on him.JT.

I still do I guess.

I catch Four smiling at me.I smile back.

There's just...something about his smile makes my heart flutter.

"We're gonna actually dance now",Four says.I nod.

We begin dancing.

Somehow....both of us already know the steps.We're coordinated.

Four twirls me and I laugh.

"Enjoying pretty much huh ?",Four asks smiling.

"Yeah ! It's like we've been practicing since centuries !",I say laughing.

Tobias's POV

Tris looks so beautiful when she lets loose.When she lives in the moment.

It takes all my strength and willpower to not kiss her.

"'Cause I don't wanna lose you now

I'm lookin' right at the other half of me",Tris sings.I join in as well.

"The vacancy that sat in my heart

Is a space that now you hold

Show me how to fight for now

And I'll tell you, baby, it was easy

Comin' back here to you once I figured it out

You were right here all along",We sing loudly.

Tris laughs.

Don't kiss her Tobias.

Don't !

"It's like you're my mirror

My mirror staring back at me

I couldn't get any bigger

With anyone else beside of me

And now it's clear as this promise

That we're making two reflections into one

My mirror staring back at me, staring back at me",We finish.

"That was so cool !",Tris says and hold her hand out for a high five.I high five her.

We then sway some more.Looking into each other's eyes.

I can't control myself anymore.

I cup her face in my hands and lean in forward.She doesn't stop me.

I'm just centimeters away from kissing her when the song changes to some upbeat,party music.

We break away.

To hide the awkwardness me and Tris just random dance to the upbeat music.

Tris's POV

I can't believe I let Four almost kiss me !!

What was I thinking ?

I'm not going to let that happen again.

Tobias's POV

I almost kissed Tris !

What the hell was I thinking ?

But now that it happened....

I'll admit it.

I like Tris.

I really,really like her.
