Chapter Thirty-One: Warriors

Kiyoshi stayed by Kagome's side throughout the entire dance, watching his brothers every move. Sesshomaru's golden orbs were fixed on the young demon, scrutinizing every move. Kagome watched with such intent that she almost forgot to breath. Atsushi's dance was amazing but also seemed pained. Just as Kagome thought the dance was ending Sesshomaru and Atsushi began to fight one another. Sesshomaru's eyes began to glow and bleed red, his transformation taking over. A large dog demon towered over a small black and red wolf, Kagome let out an inaudible gasp. Her foot throbbing wilding as she clutched the tree.

"Sorry," Kagome mumbled still trying to release the barrier.

"This Sesshomaru believes he did tell you to stay with Rin last night." he said his eyes glowing red.

"I...." Kagome began.

She stood up preparing for what she assumed was the worst, her death. Suddenly her barrier fell and he lunged at her. But the instant his hand touched her skin a flute sounded around them and he almost collapsed his yokai dissipating. He clutched the bedframe his claws digging in it.

"What have you done to me?" he questioned his eyes searching her face for an answer

Kagome was quiet, her eyes fixed on the Daiyokai in-front of her. Her fingers twitching at the need to assist him. It was mere seconds before Kiyoshi burst into the room, just as Sesshomaru's body gave out and he collapsed.
