" got the last ticket, guys!" Sophie said as she sprinted towards us, smiling like a kid on Christmas morning. "Aren't I lucky? To think, I could have been the only one out of us lot not going." She folded the ticket in half and tucked it away securely in her school bag. The smile never left her face as Kate, Marielle and I walked towards the library. It seemed like we all had a lot of work to catch up on. I was still rather upset with my History assignment, so my first priority was fixing it up to full marks.

The library was pretty empty as the four of us made our way up to the back and seated ourselves down at the top table. We each had different things to catch up on, so the purpose of us all being sat together was mainly because we needed each others' company. I was in desperate need to be surrounded by people I knew well, and who I could trust one hundred percent with everything. The only problem was, I couldn't go and tell the girls about Zayn's true nature, simply because they would think of me as crazy. Maybe not Sophie, but there would still be the doubt. The only person I could trust fully, if trust was what you could call it, was Zayn. He knew me pretty well, and he knew the truth about the situation in every way possible. If I told the girls anything, I'd also be putting their lives in danger, and I just couldn't do that.

Once we were settled down, and had our work set out in front of us, we set straight to it, completing everything that had to be finished. Occasionally, I'd catch Marielle looking up at me and I gave her a small smile each time but I couldn't help but wonder why she kept staring at me. Did she want to ask me something possibly?

"So, Laura?" Sophie said all of a sudden, biting the end of her pencil as she did. "Why was Zayn in the changing rooms with you on Saturday?"

I slowly glanced to my right, giving Marielle a disapproving glare. She'd told them what she had seen when Zayn had come to my rescue. Of course she had, I had been crying after all. Marielle gave me an innocent smile and averted her gaze back to her Maths homework lying in front of her.

"He just showed up." I said, giving my friends a small shrug. What else could I have said? They wouldn't have believed me if I'd told them he'd magically sped walked from his home all the way to the shops in just under five minutes. I honestly wanted to avoid all questions about what had happened that day, as I was still pretty shaken up about it.

"He just showed up ... in a changing room?" Sophie pressed on, an eyebrow raised in question. Kate's eyes were darting between the two of us, clearly intrigued by the topic of the conversation. Kate had made such a fuss about Zayn when he'd first arrived at Tong High, expressing how much she liked the look of him, and how she wanted him all to herself. I wasn't sure if she still felt like that towards him, or if she didn't care any more. Who knows what Zayn Persuaded her to think and do.

At Sophie's words, I slowly nodded, blood rushing to my cheeks as I remembered his demanding kiss before leaving. He'd been so rough, yet gentle with me and I couldn't help but wonder what had snapped in him. He wasn't as horrible as he had been when I'd first found out about what he was. Maybe telling me his story made it easier to be himself around me?
