Chapter 17 - Don't Look Back

Hey guys, again! I wrote most of this chapter already but then my phone froze up and I was like -_______- really? So, lets hope I get it as good as I did the first time I REALLY hate rewriting.

I walked down the street with my head held high. I kept getting glances from men, their eyes checking me out. I didn't mind though, it felt good to know I looked hot. Not that I didn't already know though.

"May I ask you a question?" A husky voice asked from behind me, lightly grabbing my arm to stop me.

"Do NOT touch me." I warned, my eyes narrowing on his hand.

He quickly let go of me and apologized. I spun around and looked up to put a face to this handsome voice, and there stood a blonde haired beauty. He had light blonde hair and bright blue eyes. He had to be atleast 6'5, and he had on a dark tight pink shirt that clearly showed off his 4-pack. He looked like he had to be somewhere around 18-19 years old.

"What do you want to know?" I finally asked.

He lowered his gaze slightly, then smiled. "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?"

I couldn't help but laugh at that, I raised my eyebrows at him. "Really?"

He met my gaze and nodded quickly.

"Well, it must have hurt a lot, because I don't remember it at all."

His face turned into one of fake pity, humor shown in his eyes. "Awe, you poor thing. Well you know, I am a doctor. I could thoroughly check out the damage."

"Oh could you now?" I chuckled. "Well, as amazing as that offer is, I think I'll pass." I shrugged, patting him on the shoulder and walking past him.

"Wait!" He yelled after me.

"Yes?" I asked, turning around to face him, arms crossed over my chest.

"I never even got your name."

"Its Saphirre. Yours?"

"Jasper."

"Huh, cool."

"Thanks."

We walked down the sidewalk in awkward silence, Jasper just following beside me. I had absolutely no idea where I was going, I didn't have to be at the airport for hours. And then, a thought struck.

"Hey Jasper?"

"Yeah?"

"Where's the library?"

"You don't know? Then I'll lead the way!" He yelled, loudly, might I add.

I followed behind Jasper while he just talked quietly to himself.

"So..." I started. "Do you live around here?"

He nodded. "Yeah, I've lived here for a while. My parents own a beach house."

"Nice, have any siblings?"

"Yeah, I have a younger sister named Holly, and a baby sister named Josie. What about you?"

"I have an older brother, Josh. And another older brother named Noah. Then I have a twin sister named Claire."
