"Nandini, what is Manik to you" alya asks.
"Why have you started interviewing me at six in the morning?" I whine still wanting to go back to sleep.
Yesterday was a tiring day. By God's grace, pandit is not insane ANYMORE.
"Stop asking questions and answer our question" mukti says.
"What was your question again"? I ask.
"Ughhhh. What is Manik to you"? Ridhimma asks.
"You guys have hijacked my bed for asking stupid questions" I ask making them more annoyed.
"ANSWER!!!!!!!" They scream.
"Okay, okay okay" I say in one breath.
"Manik......... unmmmm he is my friend. My best and most close friend" I say still thinking .
"What are you thinking so seriously? About Manik?" Mukti smirks and asks.
"I was thinking how to kick you guys out and go back to sleep with Mr. Twinkle toes" I say .
"Twinkle toes"? All ask in unison.
"He is my teddy" I say admiring the beautiful doll.
"How old are you? Five"? Alya asks and rest of them chuckle.
"To be accurate, I am four and a half" I say making them sarcastically laugh at me.
"Bye" I say sternly.
"Bye, by the way your morning breath stinks" riddhima teases.
"As of you wake up with lavenders in your mouth" I sarcastically mumble.
"I heard that" she shouts.
"I am absolutely happy about that" I shout back and go back to beauty sleep.
Manik's POV
"What is going on between you and Nandini"? Cabir asks
"Wefef ahre jufvtg f rtf hff" I blabber.
"oh great majesty, please show mercy on us by translating what you just said" cabir sarcastically says.
"Ughhhh. Whattttt?" I shout annoyed.
"ANSWER!!!!!" They yell in unison.
"Okay okay" I say sitting up.
"So, umm ok so... that.." I stutter.
"Ya"? cabir asks smirking.
"Please give me one clue" I plead.
"Clue. Clue about what?"? Arya asks with bewildered expression.
"Give me one clue about what the question is. I don't remember. I was in half sleep"
Abhimanyu slaps his head dramatically and repeats " what is going on between you and Nandini "?
"Us? We are.. umm best friends. Ya, we are close friends" I answer.
What's up with them? Full on detective mode today.
"By the way, why are you sleeping in the hall ? Dhruv asks.
"I was watching tv and I fell asleep" I reply.
Something is fishy.
Cabirs POV
Fabulous nine except manik and Nandini came in the kitchen.
"Just best friends or close friends from Manik's side" I report.
"Same with Nandini" alya reports.
"We have to do something"
Nandini's POV
"Nandini! Don't you think your this 'best friend aka close friend' would tease you if he sees you with a teddy bear"? Riddhima asks.
"Why would he be angry? He himself bought this for me" I ask perplexed.
They three have shocked faces.
"You mean to say manik, The Manik Malhotra bought you a teddy bear named Twinkle toes"? Mukti asks.
"Ha. What's so bad with it"? I ask.
"Nothing" they all say smirking.
Why am I getting bad vibes from this conversation?
I get up and freshen up.
"Muku, where is manik"? I ask.
"Why do you want to know where he is so early. Weren't you sleepy" she says smirking.
Why am I receiving a lot of smirks today?
" now sleepy gone" I say childishly.
"Awwwwww. He fell asleep in the hall" she says pinching my cheeks.
I rub my cheeks glaring at muku and says childishly " I will complain to manik"
I run towards the hall to see Manik sleeping.
"Awwww, he is choooo cute" I say looking at him.
An evil idea pops into my mind.
I run and jump on to the other side of the sofa making him jump up.
He looked here and there perplexed about what had happened.
"Manik you are so cute" I say pinching his cheeks.
"How many times should I say not to call me cute" Manik says
"Cute.Cute.Cute.Cute" I keep chanting
"Nandini. Shut up" manik shouts.
Finally we started chasing each other and I hid in the bed room.
Suddenly I heard aliya's voice " what happened?"
"Manik is chasing me" I say panting.
"Why"they ask.
"I called him cute" I say looking at them.
"Ohh, really? You call him cute and say that you don't like him" alya asks.
"Who said I don't like him. I like everyone?" I state.
"NO Nandini. You like him in the other way." They say.
"Huh? Seriously?" I say laughing.
"Yes. Okay if you don't believe, then tell me. Do you think he is handsome. Do you think he is caring. Do you know about his likes and dislikes? Do you like spending time with him? Do you feel undeniable pain seeing him in pain?" Mukti asks.
I don't want to lie. So I nod.
"Then Nandini you have started liking him more than a best friend"
Third person's POV
Nandini was going through an inner turmoil whereas manik was feeling the same after being questioned the same way by cabir and boys.
Who knew a Sambhar was going on inside them.
Nandini's POV
Shit. Shit. Shit.

Manik's POV
