48. HexSonnetta — My Lady's Burning Eyes

My lady's burning eyes
   Are nothing like the sun,
   Making the fearful run
And sob their fearful cries;
She wears her hellish guise
   Of death for all but one.

Oh, how I wish to be
   That one my lady views,
   If even to abuse
Me with her spiteful glee;
Oh, keep your eyes on me
   And, please, do not refuse:

To love you is to suffer,
So let me be your lover.

(To be continued...)
