Diggy's POV;

I don't know why I felt so comfortable talking to someone I only met twenty minutes ago. I don't know why it felt like I've known her way longer than that. I don't know why I've been sort of stalking her twitter ever since I retweeted her. I don't know why I deeply craved to befriend her. I don't know why it felt so wrong...

Jonna Hey Dan Dan...I have some bad news. I won't be coming until another few days possibly up to a week. I have two other shoots scheduled that I just found out about :( I'm sorry...I miss you so much.

Oh yeah, now I know why it felt so wrong. I have a girlfriend.

Hazel's head fell back as she laughed at something I said. I couldn't remember to be honest, I was too engulfed in her smile. To say she was a beautiful girl would be an understatement. Her luminous laugh and bright smile almost made me forget about how I felt about Jonna. I gave her a small smile as my mind drifted back to the thought of her. I honestly wasn't up to responding to her at the moment.

"Everything alright?" Hazel asked, her eyebrows furrowed. Sorrow was etched into her voice. Was it that blatant that I was upset?

"Uh, yeah, I'm good." I said dismissively. I honestly didn't feel like talking about it, especially to someone I had only just met. I didn't need to put my problems on her like that, it just wouldn't feel right. I was comfortable with Hazel, yes, but it wouldn't be right.

"Your expression dropped in a matter of seconds after you read whatever it was that was on your phone." She said.

I shook my head, a smile spreading across my face. "I'm good. I promise."

"Who is this special girl of yours and what did she do?" She said with a knowing smirk. I told you, it's like we already knew each other.

I let out a small chuckle. "Wow." Was all I could manage to say.

"So...?" She put her arms on the table and rested her chin in her hands, eagerly waiting for me to tell her.

"Basically, I have a girlfriend..." I started.

She leaned in conversationally. "Well yeah, I got that part." She said sarcastically, smiling jokingly.

I laughed at that, averting my eyes elsewhere. "Her name is Jonna. See, we both have these crazy schedules. I'm always flying out to different cities for shows and she's an aspiring model, so she's always flying out for photo shoots and stuff..." I inhaled and deeply exhaled before continuing.

"She was suppose to be flying in tomorrow morning, but she said she has two other shoots and i was really looking forward to seeing her. And it's just kind of hard not really being able to see each other, ya know?" I concluded.

And that was true. It is very hard to be in a long distance relationship, I've never really been a fan of them anyway. I just like Jonna. A lot. And I just really wanted to try this out.

Hazel's eyes filled with sorrow. I began to feel bad, putting this on her. I didn't want anyone feeling sorry for me.

"Diggy..." She whispered, unsure of what to say. "I'm sorry. I know that must be hard." She said sympathetically.

I shook my head. "Don't be." I told her. "You know, sometimes I just want to break-"

"Oh shoot! My break is over." She stood up from her chair quickly, shuffling towards the door. She walked out and seconds later she reappeared, peeking her head in the doorway.

"Nice speaking with you!" She said.

"Wait! Can I at least have your number?!" I asked, when she was already gone.

I guess I could go back out there and go enjoy the party, but I was just as against it as I was before. Only even more this time, because of Jonna. I just wasn't up to it today.

I decided that I should go anyway, instead of sitting in here for the rest of the night. I made my way out of the room and towards the party. The music was blaring, and lights were flashing, making me regret the decision to come back. The crowd had definitely multiplied. It was crowded and there was no way I was getting caught up in there. At least it would be easier for me to blend in. I went to sit in one of the booths, watching the animated and lively scene before my eyes.

I picked up the menu that lay on the table and scanned it, sort of burying my head in it to lessen the chances of being recognized. Hot wings sure sounded nice right now. As if on cue, I heard a voice say, "Hello, my name is Paris and I will be your waitress today."

I looked up at her, smiling. "Hey, Paris."

"Oh! Diggy! Heeeeey!" She said, smiling.

I laughed at the sudden change in her demeanor.

"Whatcha want?" She asked, ready to jot my order down in her notepad.

"Hot wings and fries. And water please." I told her.

"Coming right up!" She grinned before walking away.

After about ten minutes, Paris came with my meal. She placed the plate and the drink down. "All set?" She asked.

"Thank you and can I have some ketchup?" I asked.

"Got it." She smiled, walking off.

A few moments later I heard a voice say, "Did someone need ketchup?"

I looked up to see Hazel smiling and holding out the ketchup bottle. I smiled at her and grabbed the bottle. "Thank you." I said to her.

"Finally came out of the room?" She sarcastically asked.

"I got bored since someone left me!" I joked.

"Sorry, I honestly would have stayed to talk to you if I could." She said sincerely. She immediately looked down and...blushed? Why did she blush? And why was it so adorable? What am I saying?

There was a moment of silence before she broke it. "Well, uh, I have to get back to work." She said.

I lightly grabbed her wrist before she walked off. "Your number. Can I have it?"

"Sure."

And with that we exchanged numbers.

Hazel's POV;

I woke up the next morning feeling rejuvenated. Yesterday was a long day followed by a long night. I definitely got some much needed rest. I planned on doing absolutely nothing today, considering I had such an eventful weekend. I vowed to wear my pajamas and fuzzy slippers for the entire day with no shame.

After eating a bowl of cereal, I wrapped myself in a blanket on the couch and watched T.V. Just then, phone buzzed.

Paris Hey girl! Wanna chill and do nothing together?!

I laughed at that. We have the best friendship. We could just sit and watch T.V all day together. Sounds boring, but at least we're being boring together with the company of each other.

Me Of course! Come on over :)

Ten minutes later, I heard my doorbell ring. I hurried to the door and opened it, revealing my best friend in her pajamas and bag full of clothes. I stifled a laugh, considering she was wearing Spongebob pajamas.

"What?! They're cute!" She looked down at her pajamas then back at me.

I gave her an amused smile as I stepped aside to let her in. We went to the living room and sat on the couch. Our eyes were glued to either our phones or the T.V. There was barely any conversation besides our meaningless comments about what was going on in the movie we were half watching.

Paris looked at me and had a look on her face. This look was either the "Please do this for me" look or the "I'm really sorry" look.

"What..." I said warily, not really sounding like a question.

"Uh, so um, Roger---" she began.

I cut her off with a sigh. "If you want to hang out with Roger that's fine." I assured her. So it was a "I'm really sorry" look.

"But can you come with us? We're going to SkyZone. It will be so fun!" She said. Okay. So it was a "please do this for me" and an "I'm really sorry" look.

"Paris, I really just wanted to chill today and besides I don't want to just tag along." I reasoned.

She sat up with a pleading look in her eyes. "It's okay! He actually asked if you wanted to come! He said Diggy's going to. So you won't be left out or anything. Please."

I sighed, "Well..."

"Yay! Lets get dressed." Her eyes lit up, and she quickly stood from the couch.

Did I say yes?! I don't quite recall that. That's my best friend for ya, she's always right and always gets what she wants.

I sighed, not wanting to get up. Just then, I heard small footsteps approaching and I turned to see Haley. Oh snap. How could I forget? Well here is a legit excuse to stay home and do nothing all day, as I planned.

"Good morning Hazel. Morning Paris." She trotted into the room and sat next to me.

"Good morning sleepyhead." I ruffled her hair.

I looked up at Paris, "I have to stay here with her. Moms at work." I said, attempting to sound apologetic.

A smirk spread across her lips and that's when I knew she had something up her sleeve. Oh no. She sat next to Haley and grinned warmly.

"Haley, would you like a play date today?" Paris asked her.

I watched as her eyes lit up and her grin widened. "With Kayla?!" She asked excitedly. She absolutely adored Kayla, who was Paris's younger sister.

Paris nodded and my sister jumped off the couch, headed to the stairs. "I'm going to get ready!" She announced as she made her way upstairs. I couldn't help but to smile at her reaction.

Paris had a triumphant smile on her face. Like I said, she always gets her way. So much for staying in all day.

I texted my mom to let her know about Haley's play date. I knew she would be okay with it, she's like best friends with Paris' mom.

I went upstairs to get myself and my sister ready. I instantly checked my neck making sure I had my necklace on. Like I've said, I can never go a day without it. After we all got ready and I made Haley some food, we all piled into Paris's car. We drove to Paris's house and dropped Haley off. She was so happy for the play date and it was honestly so adorable.

We arrived at SkyZone meeting Roger and Diggy there. Of course as soon as we arrived, Paris and Roger were attached at the hip. We paid and retrieved our sneakers at the front desk.

I looked around at all the trampolines and began to get excited as if I was a little kid. Although I did want to stay home today, this shouldn't be too bad. SkyZone is basically an indoor place made up of trampolines and you just jump around. It's more exciting that it sounds, I swear.

I sat on a bench to change my shoes, as Diggy sat beside me. I looked up to see Roger and Paris already changed and headed to go jump. Well thanks for waiting for us, guys.

"So much for waiting on us." I said sarcastically as I just finished putting the shoes on.

Diggy let out a chuckle. I looked at him realizing he didn't change his shoes.

"How come you didn't change?" I asked him.

He let out a sigh, "I'm not really up to it." He said, dryly. He looked so distant and aloof.

"Is everything okay?" I asked him, suddenly more interested in him than jumping.

"I honestly don't even want to be here right now."

"I couldn't agree more. I actually planned on staying home all day today and kind of got forced into this."

He laughed, then looked distant again. What's the matter with this boy?

"Okay. Something's wrong. What's up?" I asked. I know we only just met, but for some odd reason I sort of cared. I don't know why I cared. But I cared.

He shook his head, shrugging it off.

"Jonna?" I asked him. I hoped I wasn't being too invasive or anything. I think he felt pretty comfortable with me, just as I did with him. At least I hoped.

"We got into this huge fight." He said.

"Oh. I'm sorry." I replied, not knowing what to say.

"I told her this long distance thing was hard and she took it wrong. She thought I was thinking about breaking up with her or something."

My mind flashed back to yesterday when he told me about the long distance situation.

"Diggy..." I whispered, unsure of what to say. "I'm sorry. I know that must be hard." I said sympathetically.

He shook his head. "Don't be." He told me. "You know, sometimes I just want to break-"

And then I cut him off. I told him that my break was over. I think I know what he was going to say.
I hesitantly asked him, "Well...were you? Were you thinking of breaking up with her?"

I noticed him shift in discomfort. "Of course not. I like her, I like her a lot. No. I wasn't." He said, unconvincingly. It was almost as if he was trying to convince himself.

"Are you trying to convince yourself? You may have yourself fooled, but I'm not buying it." I said truthfully.

He sighed placing his hands over his face in irritation. He stood up and took a deep breath. "This is too much." He mumbled.

I stood up, and touched his arm sympathetically. "Diggy..." I looked at him, sorrowfully.

"I need some fresh air." He said, walking towards the door. I didn't want him to go alone, so I silently followed him behind. Part of me thought he needed to be by himself. Another part of me told me to follow him and be the friend that he needs right now.

He sat down on one of the benches outside. I sat beside him. I guess he didn't notice I followed him out here because when he saw me he looked slightly startled. I thought he would tell me to go away or that he wanted to be alone but to my surprise, he didn't.

"Hazel?" He asked, looking at me.

"What's up?" I looked up at him.

"You know what? You were right." He averted his eyes elsewhere.

"So you do want to break up with her?" I asked him.

"This long distance thing just isn't working for me." He said, making his statement clear. "What do I do?"

I was speechless, I had no idea what to say to help him. "Uh, I-I don't know Diggy. I'm so sorry."

He made eye contact with me again. "I'm sorry." He said.

"For what?"

"For putting all this on you. I just met you and I just like told you my whole life story." He lightly laughed.

"Your love life isn't your whole life story." She commented. "And don't be sorry. I basically forced it out of you. I just want to help. Don't ever feel sorry."

"You're such a sweetheart." He said, genuinely smiling for the first time today. "You really are. It's adorable."

I looked down immediately. I couldn't help but to blush. I wasn't trying to be flirty and I knew he wasn't trying to either, I mean he does have a girlfriend. But I couldn't help to blush at that.

"Thanks for being a friend." He said to me.

I looked back up, warmly smiling at him.

"Your smile." He said, with a serious tone etched in his voice.

I furrowed my eyebrows at him, insecurely letting my smile drop.

He shook his head and smiled. "It's beautiful."

"Diggy, seriously, stop." I said. I wanted to thank him and to blush, and it took everything in me not to, but it just wasn't right.

"Stop what?" He asked, genuinely confused.

"I can't help but to feel like you're flirting. And that I'm flirting back. And you have a girlfriend. It's not right and---"

I was cut off as I felt a pair of hands on my face, and being gently pulled. Diggy stared at my lips, biting his. I couldn't react because it was all so sudden. Just when I thought he was going to kiss me, instead, he said, "but I kind of want someone else."
