Going back to where everything started
It's 4am and I'm still wide awake
Listening to songs that reminded me
Remembered my childish ways
Reminiscing about the good old days
I just realized how fast time flies
Thinking about every lesson that formed a new scar
Every time I remember, I just smile
How I would cry for people to notice me
How I would not care about the world around me
How I would go through a needle's eye
Just for them to see
Sometimes I feel like I want to go back in time
And savour those happy moments
Sometimes I just want to go back in time
And make everything alright
How I would play pretend
With my childhood friends
How I would laugh out loud
At the silliest things
Sometimes I wonder, 'Can those happen again?'
It may sound crazy
But if it would,
I will never stay in these present times
Maybe time really is gold
You can never go back no matter how you like
We must treasure every moment
So if you still have it, make everything right
