A Soulful Kinship

You and I,
We are but fleeting beings,
Knowing not our reason,
Nor our purpose in this world.
So we search for it.
A reason to live;
Something true to fight for.
The few that find it,
Are truly blessed.
But most of us still struggle to find,
The purpose of our lives,
Our destiny.
This, we share,
You and I.

You and I,
However different we may be,
We share now two things:
A search for a purpose,
To find meaning to life.
And lastly, these words,
A solemn message of kinship.
