11 - Purple Eyes

We all looked around for a few minutes, there were books about hybrids, werewolves, but I couldn't find one about exposing a vampire

"Exposing a vampire clone! I found it!" Yells Melia.

We sit in a circle and lay the book out, Melia open the book and begin reading.

How to expose a vampire clone
When exposing a vampire clone, you must follow 3 steps.
Step 1. Get the clone trapped in a corner.
Step 2. A relative must stare the clone in the eyes for 10 seconds without the clone moving. Be cautious of clones with purple eyes, turn to page 155 for more information.
The clone will slowly morph to it's normal self.

"Well this will be easy," says Melia.

We walk back upstairs and spot Charlotte.

"Hey Charlotte," I approach her.

"Hey! I was looking for you guys," she smiles.

"Follow us," says Elana.

We lead Charlotte to the kitchen.

Elana and Melia grab Charlotte's hands and I stand in front of her.

"G-guys, what're you doing?" She squirms.

I stare at her in the eyes.. But something was wrong, her eyes were.. Purple.
The book said to be cautious of vampires with purple eyes!!

10 seconds pass within a flash and she morphs to Tayliah.

A curve forms on her lips, "so you guys know."

She pushes Elana and Melia away, walking forward to me.

"Tayliah.. Your eyes--" I stutter.

"They're purple!" Joanne yells holding the book in her hand on page 155.

"Well then, Dani you should know Jayden and I are dating."

I continue to look at her as she steps closer to me, I take steps back, was this really happening?

She smirks and stops once I hit the wall, her purple eyes flash and she exits the kitchen.

I run over to Joanne and scan the page as fast as I can, "Tayliah's under a spell," I quickly say.

"Oh great, how do we get her out of that?" Elana groans.

I flip to another page but before I can read we hear screams from the living room.

We run in and there is Tayliah with another man.

"Jayden watch out!" I yell but Tayliah had already thrown a spell at him.

My eyes widen, I watch Jayden. His eyes turned purple,

No...

I walk closer and face Tayliah, a man, and Jayden.

"Who are you?" I ask.
Axton, Kayson, Elana, Joanne and Melia were behind me.

"Glad you asked," he smirks, "my name's Jacob, I am a full blooded vampire, and Tayliah here-- will be helping me," he glances at Jayden, "he will be helping me too,"

I look at Tayliah, "But.. Tayliah you're only a half blooded vampire!" I yell.

Her purple eyes look at me then at Jacob, staying silent.

"Oh so now you're not speaking?" Elana interrupts.

"And now Jayden has purple eyes," I quietly say.

Jayden speaks up, "Nah, Tayliah did the right thing, I was on the wrong team."

I shake my head.

"Well, Danielle is it?" Jacob asks.

I bite my lip, "Its Clarity," I say.

"Nice try, Danielle," he walks closer, "let me talk to you."

"I'm listening," I say.

"Alone," he growls.

"Whatever you have to say, these people can listen," I snap back.

Jacob turns to Tayliah and Jayden, "Tay, Jayden, go back to the fortress."

They nod and use speed and within a split second they were gone.

He looks at me, "If you read your books right, you would know Tayliah and now Jayden are on my side until you break the spell-- but we all know that won't happen.. Why? Because of this!" He runs to Joanne and snatches the book.

"H-hey! That's mine." Yells Joanne.

"Have fun breaking the spell with no book! it's only a few weeks until I'll have all vampires turned full blooded.. Then theres no stopping me," he doesn't smirk, he looks at us, blankly, but firmly.
He uses vampire speed to run out.

Joanne sighs, "without the book.. We're done."

I look at the ground, emptily, but I manage to get something out.

"We need to get to his fortress, and get the book back," I say.

"Pft, and how are we going to do that?" Kayson replies.

"Oh we will..."
