"Do we have to do this?" Mopey complained for the hundredth time.
"Mopey, shut the fuck up and deal with it. You know how annoying she is." Hanna snapped. She has very low tolerance for whining.
"Yeah, but guys. This is borderline bullying." James said, being the buzz kill he is.
"And this is why you have no friends." Jackie laughed.
James glared at her and looked away. He's sensitive about that topic, but I think he has the hots for her, even though she can be a complete bitch at times.
I still love her.
"Here she is!" I said grabbing Mopey's arm.
We started walking towards her down the middle of the high school. The light was shining through the windows and the way it reflected on his pale white skin, I could almost say he looked like a vampire from the Twilight Saga.
He's so beautiful. Gah.
Cat looked straight at us and Mopey smiled at her.
"What. The. Fuck. Are you DOING." She screamed at us.
I turned around and faced her.
"Who. Me?" I said pointing at her.
"You are supposed to be STRAIGHT." She emphasized the straight part.
"Honey, he is no straighter than a dill pickle." Hanna butted in.
"What the fuck? Dill pickle?" Jackie said with disbelief.
"It's the best I could come up with!" Hanna said exasperatedly.
"But dill pickle? REALLY?" Jackie was still disappointed.
Cat looked away, and I could see her glasses fogging up.
"You... were supposed to..." She stopped and ran away.
"That escalated quickly." I said quietly.
"Are you guys done being bullies?" James asked, "Because I have an appointment with maturity and need to go. Mopey you coming?"
"Yeah." Mopey said and left us four.
"Hey I'm coming too." Shane said and left with the boys.
And then there was three.
"I can not... What the heck?" I said, "We barely did anything."
"She's just being the whiny bitch she is. We did the right thing, by breaking it to her the easy way." Jackie said coming up on my right and putting her hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah, she is kind of a strange one. I mean come on. You are as flaming as a unicorn. In a good way of course." Hanna said coming up on my left crossing her arms.
"Thanks guys." I said. "Wanna go pick up our books and study or something?"
We all look at each other and start laughing.
"How about we go back to Mopey's and watch a movie, or something." Hanna said taking my hand.
"Sounds good." I said taking Jackie's.
We started heading for the doors before we smelled smoke.
Curious we started following it and before you knew the sprinklers and fire alarm were going off.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!" I screamed.
And right then and there we saw it.
Smoke was coming out of Cat's locker.
