Alex POV
Everyone is still talking about Josh and Jess’ kiss in the canteen and that was 2 days ago now! Urghh I need to talk to Jake.
“Hey…Jake. Can I talk to you?” I say quietly. He nods and looks at me expectantly.
I sigh “In private?” he looks confused but willingly follows me out the canteen. We walk down a deserted corridor and I stop suddenly.
“Jake…I’m really sorry but um well I you see I er-”
He has a sad little smile on his face. “You want to break up with me don’t you?”
My heart breaks at his sad smile “yeah I’m sorry Jake. I really like you and everything but-”
“You like Josh more. I get it. I guess I underestimated you. I didn’t know you could be a heart breaker. Bye Alex.” He walks of quickly in the other direction. Wow. I’ve never seen that side to Jake before.
Did I make a mistake breaking up with him?
Especially as Josh is so happy with Jess?
