#49 The Thing Of His You Steal While He's On Tour

Ashton: Ashton always had the best and most comfortable sweaters; you loved cuddling with him when he was wearing one. His sweaters were so big on him it was almost impossible for him to not have sweater paws. When he went on tour, it was in the winter time, but he still left a few sweaters at your apartment. So whenever you got cold you would take one out of the closet and put it on. It was almost like a dress on you, but you loved it. You would sit and watch a movie and sniff the sweater whenever you missed him. One night he Skyped you while you were wearing one; the smile on his face when he recognized it was one of the biggest you’d ever seen

Luke: Even though Luke was 17 he still had just as many stuffed animals as when he was younger. You thought it was the cutest thing. When he went on tour he only took one or two of them, but of course came back with 5 to 7 more. And when he was away, you got lonely at night. So you would cuddle with different stuffed animals; sometimes pretending that they were him.

Calum: He had too many beanies; and that was an understatement. He literally had beanies coming out of his ears. And when he went on tour he couldn’t possibly take all of them with him, so he left the majority of them behind. And when you missed him or when you went out in the cold, you would steal one out of his dresser and put it on. They helped you get through the long months without him. You even wore one when you went to pick him up from the airport. As soon as he got out of the gate he dropped everything and ran to you; picking you up off of your feet and swinging you around.

Michael: After playing guitar for as long as he had, Michael had lots of guitar picks. So for your birthday, he put a hole through one and made it into a necklace. When he gave it to you he said, “Now whenever you miss me when I’m gone, hold onto this and remember all the amazing memories we have and how many more we’ll make.” And you did just that every time you got that feeling in your chest.
