-Reyna-

Sometimes at night Reyna cried into her pillow. She didn't like crying, she didn't like admitting that she'd been crying. Crying was a sign of weakness. Crying wasn't Roman.

But lately she'd been feeling so useless, so alone. Almost as if she was being taken apart piece by piece.

Reyna hadn't felt like that in a long time, not since she'd met Jason Grace. He'd always been the one who knew exactly when she needed to cry, to pour her heart out to someone. He'd always been there to grasp her by the shoulders and say, "You aren't alone, Reyna. Not anymore."

Now he was gone.

Now she really was alone.

As the hot tears traveled down her face Reyna remembered the feeling of Jason's finger wiping them away. Her cabin felt ten times lonelier than usual. Even worse, the cabin beside her, the one where Jason was supposed to be, ready to comfort her at any moment, was empty.

Reyna curled up into a ball. She hugged her knees across her chest and whispered his name.

Jason.

Jason Grace.

The thought that she might never see him again tore her heart open.
