I sit at home

day after day

reading what you've sent me

over and over

with a silly smile on my face

and people ask me

what I'm so happy about

but they wouldn't understand

the joy and happiness I feel knowing that

you love me

and only me.

I can't remember a time I was so happy

and bright

I can't remember a time I felt so beautiful

and goal oriented,

like I could touch my future.

I am the luckiest girl,

I have a roof over my head

food when I am hungry,

a family and friends but

most of all I am 

lucky because I have

you.
