Robert laid there, motionless, pretending to sleep despite his fear. His parents were positioned at the other side of his room staring directly at him. You see the reason Robert was scared to move was not because his parents were watching him. No, he refused to move out of fear of the thing that dragged his parents into his room, and then slowly slid under his bed. Awaiting Roberts awakening to strike. However, before the creature slid under his bed it scrawled something on the wall opposite to Robert. At the time his eyes had not adjusted enough to the darkness to read what the murderous monster had written. But now his eyes had adjusted just enough to make out. He read it and suddenly wished he hadn't,
