---Christina's POV---

A low purr escaped me as I rolled around in my sleep. The sun was shining just on my face, warming it nicely before I blinked lazily to greet a new day. Hold on...I didn't remember saying goodbye to the others or going to my tree to sleep in. And judging by the softness under my head, I wasn't lying high above the ground but in a soft bed.

Just as my mind was starting to make connections and tried to find out what happened, I heard a soft huff beside me before the bed, I guessed, dipped and an arm was thrown over me. My eyes shot open and Eve simultaneously took control over my body, grabbing the arm and throwing the offender over my shoulder and off the bed with a jolt.

"Argh! What the-" A loud thud sounded as I stayed crouched, my nostrils flaring and opening all of my senses until I saw a tussled heap of black hair sit back up, two hands coming up to clasp the back of his head.

"Ow that hurt! What is wrong with you?! What the- What were you doing in my bed?!" Evan screeched in a very, um, girlish tone. A blush rose up his face when I looked at him strangely before he huffed and said, "Just answer the question woman!"

I raised an eyebrow whilst looking around the room. "I wasn't even aware that this was your room. Don't even know how I got here." I murmured, noticing that Evan was looking around too before his face turned from disgruntled to shocked. "This isn't my room either...so...is it yours?" He asked hopefully.

Shaking my head, his smile fell before he jumped up and rubbed his the back of his head. "Damn, you sure have a throwing arm there." He lowered his arms before looking at his wrist, where a small electronic band was gleaming in the sunlight. "Hey! What's this? Take it off!" He started flailing with his arms before I managed to grab them and yank him closer.

He eyed me warily before he looked at the distance between us, his face turning into a teasing smile. "Sorry, not interested. I'm gay."

I hissed lowly from my throat before Eve gave control back, seeing that I wasn't in danger at all. Growling again when Evan smiled smugly at me, I snapped, "I am not interested in you Evan. Besides, you were the one cuddling up to me."

His face turned cherry red as he looked away. "Details!" He yelped, making me laugh loudly as I stood up again. It didn't take me long to notice that I had the same device strapped around my wrist. "Maybe this is part of the test?" I asked, which made Evan look up before coming closer, holding his own wrist up.

"It might be...they have the same colour." He pointed out and I nodded; the edges of the watch-like device were a bright green that flashed in the sunlight. Sighing, I looked around and walked towards the only door in the room before opening it.

The view outside had changed as well; we were apparently in a small cabin in the woods. Just in our sight, a small note had been nailed to a tree. Evan quickly ran forwards and snatched the note of the tree, his eyes darting over it before he smiled.

"It is part of the test; we need to get back on our own, overcoming obstacles on the way and the tricky part; we'll need to work together to do so." He looked up with a childish grin on his face before he skipped closer. "Race ya to the finish?" He teased, grinning widely while I rolled my eyes. "If you want me to carry you over the finish line: your dad told me your species are sprinters so you'll be worn out before we get there."

"You..." Evan paused with his mouth wide open and a finger held in the air before he wagged it whilst nodding his head. "You got a point." He meekly agreed, making me shake my head.

"So, did the note give any directions or something?" I asked, peering over his shoulder. It did say to go in a general southern direction, so we nodded and started to run, following the instincts of our cats to guide us.
