It's not like you didn't know that
I said I love you and I swear I still do
And it must have been so bad
Cause living with me must have damn near killed you
And this is how you remind me
Of what I really am
This is how you remind me
Of what I really am
It's not like you to say sorry
I was waiting on a different story
This time I'm mistaken
For handing you a heart worth breakin'
And I've been wrong, I've been down
Been to the bottom of every bottle
These five words in my head
Scream "Are we having fun yet?"
How You Remind Me by Nickelback

Chapter 5
Jenna’s POV
“Is this where you live?” I asked Daniel as he guided me to the front door of the apartment number 42 of the complex. He pulled out some keys from his pocket and jammed it through the keyhole.

I forced a smile on my face. “Hey.”
The girl smiled back at me then dragged her eyes up to Daniel. “You didn’t tell me you were bringing anyone back home, Daniel. I would’ve worn something nicer.”
Daniel sighed. “It doesn’t matter what you wear or not, Iris.”
“Yes it does!” She protested.
“I really don’t mind.” I told the both of them to at least stop their arguing. And surprisingly, they did stop and looked at me. The girl flashed me another pretty smile and stuck her hand out.
“I’m Iris. Nice to meet you.”
I shook her hand hesitantly. “You too. I’m Jenna.”
“Nice name.” She complimented.
“Thanks.”
After there, the three of us stood in silence for a while.
“Well, I guess I’ll just go back to my room.” She muttered and disappeared into the apartment beside Daniel’s.
I shot a glare at Daniel once she shut the door. “So you basically brought me here just to meet your girlfriend?”
“Girlfriend? Iris—“
