Chapter 2
**Bea's POV**
By lunchtime I was getting pretty bored of the school already, it was SO freaking small!
Courtney and I went to go grab some lunch from the cafeteria. I thought of starting a food fight again, so I could get out of the lifeless grey building. Then I thought how mad my Mum would be... I thought better of it.
Compared to the rest of the school the cafeteria was a considerable size. There was about twenty old, dark brown tables with crappy drawings of penises, who loves who, and a load of engravements of years and dates. Where the hell do we sit?!
Courtney seemed to know where she was going, I just followed.
Courtney managed to bag us two seats on a table with Adam, and a couple of his mates, Tom Brunwin and Jack Landen. Not including Alex to Coutney's disapointment. As we sat down I tried not to look at Adam.
Okay well I did look at him, a little.
Adam slowly looked up from his pasta, "Hey..."
"Hi," Courtney sang in a shrill sing-song voice.
"Hi." I hoped I didn't sound too moody. I probably did sound really moody, I should have just let out a long deep 'MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!' there and then... but of course I didn't.
**Adam's POV**
GOD!! Bea is really hot! ...
I really needed to stop thinking these things, I mean she probably didn't even fancy me. She'd already fallen for Alex (I saw that look she gave him in Art) just like all the other girls in the school. But the thing is Alex was a player, and everyone knew it.
Bea seemed to be trying to avoid my gaze as she ate her pizza... was she worried about something? I decided took pluck up the courage and ask her if she was okay.
"Is everything okay Bea?" Oh no, oh no... why did I ask?!
"Yep, I'm fine... really!" Maybe she added the 'really' because I had a worried look on my face.
**Bea's POV**
Awwwwwwwww... that was genuinely sweet of Adam ask me... nawwwhhh
Adam had just finished his pasta and was about to go when he said with a smile, "Well, I'll see you around then Bea," Oh crap! I can feel my cheeks going red!
"Yeah, em... see you around Adam," I murmured, keeping my eyes on my pizza.
He got up and left the table, but as soon as he was out of earshot, Courtney turned to me and said, "Lets follow him!" She had a really eager look on her face. "It's TOTALLY obvious he likes you!"
"Erm... NO! Courtney I only just started here and I DO NOT want a reputation as a stalker!" I raised my eyebrows, but she seemed pretty stubborn on what she wanted. "Besides, why would he like me?" I asked, shoving in the rest of my pizza in my mouth to stop myself talking in case I said something I might regret later.
"Oh yeah, Bea! Cos you look like you belong in a zoo! That's what it must be!" She said, rolling her eyes. "Pull yourself together girl! He likes you, proper 'like' likes you!" I just concentrated on not choking, that pizza slice was bigger than it looked. "You like him too, don't you? Don't you? Say yes! Go oooonn!" She was tapping my arm all the time she said this.
Should I tell her that I liked him? I only met her yesterday! Did I even know her yet? Then again, she had been really great to me on my first day and she had already got an idea in her head and, knowing her (which I don't really but she has a pretty obvious personality), she will not drop it.
"I really need the loo, Courtney. I'll see you later." I got up and left the table, shoving the rest of the pizza in a bin as I went past. I headed to the toilets, I really did need to go, but it was mostly just an excuse.
As I went round the corridor I saw Alex and some girl making out against one of the lockers. I laughed in my head as I walked past them, but I couldn't help but brush past him, quite roughly. "Oops! Sorry!" I smiled sweetly at them. Alex turned and threw me a flirtatious grin, making sure his girlfriend couldn't see him as he did so. I ignored him and marched off to the toilets, but I couldn't help but notice that I felt strangely excited... this was new.
