Skylar's POV
I was dreaming of being on a beach. Enjoying the sun and the sand. Everything was great, it was warm and beautiful. It was really breathtaking until I woke up with a loud crash on the other side of the wall of my room. I look around first making sure it wasn't in my room then check the clock and notice it was 5 in the morning. I assume it was Lexie since she was the only one sleeping on this floor but then again what is she doing up so early?
I got up and walk to the wall and put my ear against the wall. I was seriously begging that it wasn't what I was thinking was going on in Lexie's room. I heard someone mutter "Shoot". I couldn't help but laugh at that. I heard the sound of heels on the floor and the door opening then close. I heard the sound of the heels pass by my room and slowly fading away. I couldn't help but be curious about how Lexie might look. I walk over to my bed and sat in it. I change my position and lay in bed trying to get Lexie out of my mind and get some sleep but I found it difficult to do. So, since I knew sleeping was out, I got up and started changing into my clothes but I still couldn't help think of Lexie.
Lexie's POV
I always wake up at 5 on the first day of school. It has become kind of a tradition for me. I took a shower first and then put the clothes I had decided to wear which were the beige shirt, jeans, and the boots. I added the accessories I got at the at the store and got a white purse with little black sequins. And my backpack with all my materials. I started walking towards the door but crash into the table causing the photo to fall.
"Shoot", I mutter.
Sometimes, I am just too clumsy. I stop talking to myself when I heard something. I could have believed it sounded like a laugh.
I quickly grab my stuff and now without crashing into anything open the door and walk out then close the door again. I walk through the hallway and passed every room. My room is the last one. I choose the last one because I like the view.
That room has a big window and from it, you can see all the town. I really love the view of it. I walk to the kitchen and started a pot for coffee. I got the waffler out and got some frozen waffles in.
In about ten minutes the coffee was ready and the waffles, too. I got some syrup for my waffles. I ate in silence my breakfast as I read a "Seventeen" magazine. I flip through the pages when I finished reading about hair treatment for frizz.
I stopped flipping the pages without seeing the page I was on to drink some of my coffee. As I finish drinking some I turn back to the magazine. I got in shock to see the page I was on. At the top of the page it says: "Sex & Tips" and underneath it "Read to find information on how to feel comfortable having sex".
I don't really feel comfortable about sex. I remember my mom giving me "The Talk" when I was fifteen. It sure as heck was the most embarrassing thing ever. I remember my mom looking more serious than ever as she talked about protection.
And I being the shyest, broke down in front of her saying, "Mom, I promise I haven't done anything like that!!!". Then she looked at me like I was the weirdest girl in the world. And said, "Honey, I am not telling you this because I think you have done such thing as that but it is necessary for you to know about this".
I remember feeling relief. I have always wanted my parents to be proud of me and the idea of disappointing them makes me sad. That's why I am the way I am.
Not just that but they have been there for me since the day I was born. That's one of the reasons why I love them so much. Getting out of my thoughts, I pick up my dishes and quickly wash them.
